Great Upgrade

I have the original 1st gen Bose QuietComfort Earbuds and was very happy with them. Overall great sound coupled with high quality noise cancelling. I honestly didn't think much could be improved. That said, the Ultras are definitely a nice upgrade. There appears to be even a higher level of quality with the noise cancelling coupled with an added feature of sound "immersion". I experimented with these settings on a recent trip and was not let down. I was on a short flight with a small infant in the seat behind me, The baby was a little fussy as they often are during air travel. I slipped in my Ultras and choose the "Immersion" setting and all the noise faded away and my music flowed ever so nicely with no interruptions from outside sounds. It also seems that there is an upgrade to the Bluetooth connectivity. I have always noticed a slight glitch in this area where there is, for lack of better words, hiccups when connected to my phone and often times they wouldn't pair. I have had the Ultras for over a week now and have not had one Bluetooth issue. Overall, I am very happy with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds.

The Future of In Ear Earbuds is Now!!!

I am absolutely thrilled with Bose's new offering of in ear earbuds. I've been wearing them everyday for two straight weeks. When I want to tune out the world and become one with my music... these are my go to earbuds. The noise cancelling is phenomenal and I love the way you can switch the control offerings to either ear. I've had no complaints when talking during phone calls and I'm able to hear my counterparts clearly. I work in the communications field and it can get quite loud at times. These earbuds help me block out the distractions and help me focus on the task at hand. These QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds match my drip (i.e. style) and are absolutely awesome!!!

I have been wearing the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds throughout the day for nearly all of my audio needs. During cardio and strength workouts, the earbuds stay put and never feel like they might fall out. They block out noise when I am concentrating for work, writing, reading, and meditation, and they eliminate audio distractions when meeting online.
They allow me to move around the house while listening to music, podcasts, and audio books, and I like that when I remove a single earbud to hear something in my environment, the other earbud automatically shifts to Aware mode, allowing both ears to hear better. Putting the earbud back in restores the noise cancellation with no added effort.
Finally, the Immersive Audio feature adds a richness and depth to music, especially with tracks that place instruments in different stereo locations.

Get these for Added Performance and Focus!

The Pros:
I train with weights and run along with everyday house chores. I share that because when working out, running, or just mowing the lawn, you can FEEL the music. I ran in Aware Mode and could hear cyclist coming up. I mowed the lawn in Immersive Mode and the music was just so enveloping with the feeing of getting lost in the moment. It made mowing the lawn feel like I’m just dancing and the mower is my partner! Also working out in the gym is my favorite because with the equalizer in App along with Immersive Audio then you have this feeling of being in focused zone. It’s an Added Bonus to feel the music. The noise cancelling is amazing but the overall best part is the comfort coupled with the sound. You can wear these for a long run and not feel like your inner ears hurt. Each of the pieces for ear fit have combinations that you can find your fit. It’s more than select 1 of 3 sizes. Get these to loose yourself in the music because of sound and comfort! You can truly FEEL it!

The case itself is not wireless charging. There is an option to buy an additional protective case that will provide wireless charging. In my opinion, it should just come with the purchase.

The Best Ever

These are the best earbuds I've ever owned. I've used wired earbuds, and Bose Sport Earbuds, and the Quiet Comfort Ultra Earbuds put all of them to shame. The noise cancelling is so good that I actually need to switch to "aware" mode while riding my bicycle near traffic. The microphone is incredible as well. Even in a stiff breeze, my phones voice to text picks up the words. The sound quality is everything you would expect from a Bose product and then some. It is amazing to me that Bose is able to create such amazing sound in such a tiny package. The only downside is the charging case. It's really difficult to get the earbuds out of the case.

Excellent Sound and Noise Cancelling

My use of these earbuds has been what I would call casual. I have used them for music, audiobooks, and travel(car). The first thing I recommend is using the Earbud Seal Test in the Settings Menu of the app. I started using the earbuds right out of the box and thought they were pretty good but not great. After getting a good fit/seal, the sound and noise cancelling became excellent. I especially like the immersive audio. It provides a nice, rich sound. I haven't had the opportunity to fly but I was standing next to a pool pump that was quite loud. When I turned on the Quiet mode the pump noise disappeared. The case cannot be charged wirelessly which is a shame. However, for $49 you can buy a case cover that says it will allow wireless charging. The controls are easy to use and the fit is comfortable and secure. Overall, I would highly recommend the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds.

Best of Both: Great Sound/ Best Noise Canceling

I have been using the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Spatial Audio Earbuds for about 10 days now and I am blown away by the quality of the sound. I enjoy watching movies on my desktop computer at home and with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Spatial Audio Earbuds, the immersive sound makes you feel as if you are a part of the movie and experiencing the action. The sound quality is like sitting in a movie theater .
I also love the noise canceling quality. I have noise canceling headphones and when I have used them on red eye flights, I can still hear passengers snoring. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds actually block noise. It is almost like the experience of being in a sound free chamber. I love using them to cancel out all the sounds in my home when I am preparing a presentation or reading a book. So if background noises distract you, these earbuds would be great to help you concentrate better on what ever task you are working on.
Another great feature I love is the earbud case which charges your earbuds when they are in the case so that every time you go to use them, they are 100% charged and the charge lasts for a long time. So many times I have put my headphones on to find that they needed to be charged.
I highly recommend purchasing these earbuds-they do not disappoint. However, I did experience experienced one issue with my earbuds.. One earbud fell out of my ear in the park where I walk and I could not find it-this was my fault because I did not take the time to review the Bose video to learn how to properly fit and wear them . My earbuds are black and when it fell in the grass, it completely blended into the environment. . Luckily, after looking for the earbud at different angles, I finally found it. It would have been helpful to have a Find My Earbud feature or enable the earbud to beep in order to locate it.
If you are looking for a new experience in listening or in enjoying quiet times, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are for you.
