Mediocre at best

I love what comes out of these tiny little speakers. I love the voice status informing me of the connected devices and the charge level. But I bought these for the gym. I don’t wanna listen to the “cater-to-all” gym music. The noise cancellation is incredible as usual for Bose. But Bose over did it on something that worked well, while trying to ultra modernize the ear bud segment of audio. When I start to sweat with my hoodie on in the gym, the ear buds start to change modes from quiet to immerse back to quiet and stops and starts and randomly changes tracks of the music I’m listen to. It’s so darn irritating that I just take them out of my ears and punish them by listening to the wacky gym selection. What did I buy these for?? If Ur not a gym rat or not going to use these while excercizing, they’ll be great. But if Ur active like me, THESE ARE NOT THE EAR BUDS FOR YOU.
Bose should have left the control as analog. This touch crap is too sensitive and ruins the experience of forgetting that Ur in the gym until it’s time to leave. No music. puts u in the “I can’t wait to leave” mode at the gym. This is horrible for Bose. The testers weren’t paying attention. They didn’t put these fancy touch ear buds thru the test. They should’ve asked me to test. I have the Tempo glasses, the quiet comfort 700 and quiet comfort 35 head phones and the Bose sport ear buds that they stopped making, (Big mistake), I even had the new open ear buds for 2 hours before I decided these were also an overkill horror as the sound richness is not of Bose quality. Another sorry product. So I’m well qualified to rate\rank their products. I love the sound, but this is the first BOSE product that I absolutely hate. They suck and Bose won’t help me by fixing the issue. I’m going back to my Apple AirPods which worked perfectly in the gym. I don’t know when I’ll use these useless earbuds but I’m stuck with them now. If u are and exercise kinda person, don’t buy them until they improve them. Bose should’ve left well enough alone. This is an example of don’t fix what isn’t broken. I’ll be shocked if they post this honest review.

Hello, it's really awesome to hear you feel the sound and voice status from these are great. We aim for industry leading noise-cancellation, so it's nice to know that these are living up to this. You can turn off the touch controls in the Bose music app for these here https://bose.life/48Xxs2p and get the best functionality from them. Thanks Mike - Customer Support

Static Noise

There is a strange static noise in the left earbud that won’t go away. I updated the software and reconnected to my phone but it hasn’t gone away. Not sure if it’s a defect or if this is normal for these earphones. My other Bose devices don’t have this issue.

QC ultra earbuds have a great sound. But it is giving me so much trouble while connecting to phone and laptop. Connections are keep on dropping and once drop I have to reconnect the device manually. Sometimes I also experienced that there are no sound from one of the earbuds. In this case I have to hard reset the earbuds to make them work as usual.
