I don't know how they do it but they sure do. I do themselves cuz this is a step up from the last pair I had and as well well above the pair that originally started the earbuds out. If this equals that your muffs no problem no question. Maybe you need your cuz there's nothing to make your ears sweat

Mic is not good. Sound quality could be better.

Mic quality is not good during calls. If I'm in noisy areas, the other end can't hear me at all, they can hear only the background noise. Feels like there's no noise cancellation for calls. Even in less noisy areas, I need to speak loudly to make other side hear me properly.

Still need improvement

Mic noise cancellation is really bad and I couldn't use it for meeting in Outside environment. The charging case is very fragile and the original case stop working all in a sudden and I have to purchase a replacement case. This ear piece is good to use to listen music though

Minor imperfections

Sometimes it gets randomly disconnected. Sometimes it fails to switch between the actives devices as I would like it to In complete silence you can hear slight electric noise, like random radio frequencies
But I still think they are the best in the market.

Best ANC in the Market

I have used the Bose quiet comfort ultra ear buds for the past 6 months and I love the sound quality and active noise cancelation features. I travel a lot via plane and live in Orlando so there are always kids on flights and these ear buds are a life saver!! They are so great that I made sure to gift my mom a pair as well. My only reason for taking it down 1 star is that I think the call quality could be a bit better. There is a very subtle buzzing noise and it picks up a lot of surrounding noise, mentioned by others when I am on the phone with them, that can be quite annoying over time. Not enough that the product is unusable or anything like that but definitely noticeable. I am coming from using the Sony wf-1000x4 ear buds which are also really good. I would argue call wise they may be better but Bose blows it out the water when listening to music and features. I would highly recommend this product and hopefully in the future a software update can make the phone calls even better!

If you are a music lover, you are really going to love the QC Ultra earbuds, they are very comfortable, they are not heavy, and it is as if you were not wearing them, the sound is the best

Not Happy, Looking to return.

Very unhappy. I bought these to wear while working in our machine shop. Any slight loud external noise sound triggers some kind of static in each ear bud. Battery life being only six hours doesn't even make it through a full workday.
