At times when using the left earbud, I can hear the person however they are unable to hear me. At times the volume is low. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!

Hi there,
If the microphones are not picking up your voice and the volume is low, this indicates the earbud is incorrectly angled when worn. I bought these a month ago and so far have had to return one pair because they were defective (crackling noise in one side heard constantly). The second replacement pair I've received has experienced the same problem after 3 weeks of use. So sad...Bose used to have quality products but these were so disappointing.

My wife got these for me as an early Christmas gift. They have been very good to listen to a variety of music. I have not used them to take calls yet but will review that at some later date.
I bought this product with high hopes. The call quality deserves zero stars!!! I barely use them now because when I do people complain about the surrounding noise. The sound from the smallest things is amplified. The sound quality for music is great but my headphones randomly disconnects.

Hi Chris, thanks for leaving your thoughts of the QC Ultra Earbuds. I'm sorry to learn you were disappointed by the quality of phone calls. Usually, microphones picking up audio would be seen as a good thing, but in this instance I can totally appreciate why you were left frustrated.
The key reason why external sounds are likely picked up all comes down to how the buds are installed in the ear. The microphones are directional so the buds need to be installed in the ear in a manner that results in the microphones at the bottom pointing directly towards your mouth. You can learn more about fit here: https://www.bose.co.uk/en_gb/support/articles/HC2656/productCodes/QCUE-HEADPHONEIN/article.html#:~:text=Insert%20the%20earbud%20so%20the,rests%20against%20your%20ear%20ridge..
With disconnections, there are a number of reasons why this could occur including corrupted pairings, and being too far from your source device. I'd encourage you to keep the source device close by during use, and performing fresh connections if the problem occurs. I bought these as gift to my sister because this is my second pair of Bose noise canceling earbuds and the new immersion feature are fantastic. We both appreciate high fidelity and I knew she would enjoy them as much as I do.
