Prefer Bose over AirPods

Every one else (4) got AirPods Pro 2 under the Xmas tree. I have always (6 years) preferred Bose’s superior sound. My wife finally let me get her a pair of Bose ultra earbuds. She’s had hand me down AirPods so she could honestly say Bose earbuds better. 1st and best gift in many years.
Bought a few weeks ago and have been using them in various environments. As far as audio quality, these are incredible. Especially if you like deep bass. However, for the price point there are a few issues that prevent them from being ideal „all-round” earbuds. When the recommended Bose app has Bluetooth enabled, there is a constant clicking/flickering noise that disrupts the sound quality greatly. In order for quality listening I have to keep disabling bluetooth, and then re-enabling it whenever I want to use one of the app features. Ive heard from numerous people that when on a phone call there is extreme background noise. I was on the phone with my girlfriend in my car and she thought I was at a gym. Ive also been told it sounds like I am really „distant” from the mic when on the phone.
I disabled the „auto play/pause” because it seems when I use them at the gym, sweat can trigger the functionality and its really disruptive when working out.
I really cant stress the sound quality enough though. App features are really cool, but again its a pain to use the app currently.
Overall Im going to use them for a few more weeks and decide whether or not I want to just return them and go back to the cheaper, all-rounder apple airpods. If these were in the same price range as Apple it would be a no brainer, but too many issues for this price point.

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad to hear you’re impressed with the sound quality, particularly the deep bass, and that you’re enjoying the app features despite some challenges. However, we’re sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced with Bluetooth disruptions, phone call clarity, and the autoplay/pause functionality during workouts. It’s certainly frustrating when premium earbuds don’t meet expectations for all-around use, especially at this price point. I've had JBL, Beats and other "high end" "noise canceling" ear buds but these are the absolute best ear buds I've ever purchased. They are ACTUALLY noise canceling... don't know the technology behind it, but BOSE sure does. The bass and clarity are amazing.
Concussion from accident. Sounds very troublesome to deal with due to overstimulation, ear buds allow for modifying environmental noises for greater tolerance. Thank you
Great Sound Quality, uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time and HORRIBLE battery life.

I've had 3 different sets of Beats. I wanted something loud but clear. The volume & sound quality are incredible, BUT...when you pair that with the incredible noise cancelation of these....its over the top!!
I love immersive audio, and loce that it works with all source material. Really puts you in the middle of the music. I don't particularly like the sound signature, I wish it were more neutral rather than peaky and bassy.
