Upgrade those lights!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I love this migration towards LED lighting in homes. It’s safer, cooler and uses less energy. But what also drew me to this light is the halo night light feature itself. I actually swapped this out with a current recessed light in a hallway near a bathroom. We have night lights throughout the home but in this particular hallway, there’s no outlet for a plug in light and it happens to be in a dark interior hallway so it’s a pain to navigate at night without feeling around. Fine for the family but not great for guests. It’s not a complex install; much simpler than installing my smart switch, but this is assuming you have the wiring and install area there already. It does have an Edison base retrofit adapter and a well packaged hardware packet for the bits and pieces. The pros exceed the cons but the cons are more about preference. One, the temp color of the night light is a switch on top of the casing so it’s not something you can toggle easily once fitted, especially in a high ceiling. Another minor gripe is that I wish it had onboard smart switch capabilities like using an app or voice control to toggle features or power. And you will need a separate dimmer switch to use dimming options of course. If you are knowledgeable, you could additionally install a smart dimmer switch though. Lastly, while I do like that the instructions are rather thorough with installation options, each little section has every language. Kind of missing the languages divided into their own sections instead so I’m not skimming around looking for those bold headers for what I need. But the light itself, can’t find flaws with it. I like the output, the operation, the response time and the easy of use. If I could add anything more (and I know I’ve nitpicked plenty), it would be nice if the night light had low light recognition or a tap on feature. Toggling it required three quick flicks of the switch which is optically annoying and could be done better. All the same, it can be a major upgrade from older lighting and not difficult for older folks to adopt.

Very easy to install and great nightlight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really nice you can select the perfect color temperature for your space, 5 to choose from. You use your wall switch for on/off to change light mode. I had a pot light already, so it was easy to replace, it has flexible mounting with torsion springs/clips almost like plug n play… just screw in then connect and place in. Gives just enough light for a night light. Very happy with this!

Perfect for a nice night-light

We placed this light above our sink to use not only during the day, but at night when we want just a light “glow” while watching tv and for a night light. However, we might eventually move it to the bottom of our stairs for a night light by the bathroom for our guests to use when they stay over! I love the soft night light mood as it’s not too bright and isn’t a tacky wall night light. The best part, it was SO easy to install! If I could, I would install one in multiple locations in our house.
