Powerful and versatile.

I have had my Dremel for a couple of months now. I bought it to replace a smaller one I had been using for 15 yr. before I finally wore it out.
This 4000 model has terrific power! It is still small enough to be easy to handle for my model building but it has enough "grunt" to get me out of some tough situations with my auto repairs.
Dremel tools are so versatile that I am sure this will be one of my most oft used tools. Just like my old one was.

I bought this about a month ago specifically for my gun smithing hobby. I used the Dremel with the flexible shaft to get into small spots for detailed material removal and I have to say it did exactly what I needed to. As a bonus, I was able to use accessories to polish metal parts and bring out the best finish I have ever done.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have other Dremel rotary tools and they have all stood the test of time. I found myself needing slower speeds for some operations and had held off on getting another tool. he very first use convinced me that I had waited too long. The ability to vary the speed for the cutter/abrasive/operation really ups the quality of your work. The newer unit is a bit louder and more vibration prone than older units. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Very upset i only used it one time to cut a hole in sheetrock and it burned out on me had to finish with a hand saw i had good experience with one before this is a replacement but now i have second thoughts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The design is user friendly and the ease of swapping out one attachment to the next is flawless and it handles like a Porsche of rotary tools.
