Got a set of Dremel tools as a company promotion and the small rotary saw burned up within a few uses. Using the 4000, had to let it rest after each 2” cut (score actually) because it gets too hot and like the saw that I had to return, began smoking. Seriously, just scoring a 2” line about 1/16” deep. This tool is best suited for balsa wood or other soft material like pet nails

I have owned a few other drills, and this is by far the best. It has power and is easy to adjust and to hold it steady. I use it to drill small 2mm holes and larger 6mm holes for various sea glass projects. Not a single mess up with this drill!!! I am so happy that it changes bits easily and is exact, strong and reliable! Yay!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tool. The 4000 has plenty of power. I have used this tool quite a bit and have had no issues with it. I even used it to carve a project using Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba), which is a very hard wood and the 4000 performed flawlessly. I love this tool!
The tool works great, but the kit it comes with is just a garbage mess. It all falls everywhere, it's all cheap plastic pieces. It doesn't remind me of the quality that existed before. You put everything in it's proper place, pick up the case and it sounds like a falling toolbox as everything you put away becomes a gigantic mess. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU LIKE ORGANIZED THINGS.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Dremel 4000 on a variety of materials in order to build props, costumes, and a variety of performance equipment. I work in paper, cardboard, eva foam, wood, and 3D printed PLA. My Dremel gets used on most if not all of my projects for shaping, detailing, and finishing pieces. I wouldn't be able to work without it.
