My decades old dremel finally wore out, so I replaced it. The new tool and accessories work just as well or better than the old tool did. And all the accessories I have accumulated over the years work in the new tool.
When I received the Dremel tool I did a visual inspection of it, made sure all parts were there, and they fit right. Pluged it in and turned it on checked all the speeds all checked good. Did noticed that some of the air vents were not completely opened, some were blocked by extra plastic and was not cut off before assembling, this will cause the motor to over heat. Also the fan has a wabble to it when spinning, may be caused by the hole was drilled off center or on a slant this can cause the tool to vibrate more at higher speeds. Being made with plastic parts may not last as long as metal, and can chip, crack, warp, and may not be as accurate as metal would be. I still consider this tool an over all Good tool.
This replaced my workhorse Dremel that was over 12 years old. It was my go-to tool for a variety of tasks from cutting bolts to length to rust removal and surface polishing. This tool takes up where my last one left off, more power, easier to use. Every handyman should have one.
I bought this a couple months ago. All I can say is it has many uses. And have used it on many different projects. But as of now I have enjoy using it everyday
I bought this to replace a similar tool made by craftsman that had worn out. This is by far a better product. The built in collar wrench is a great feature.
I bought this several weeks ago. I also bought a cheap version from another vendor. The Dremel is superior in almost every way. You get what you pay for with this tool.
I had a Dremel tool for years and used it a lot. I work on small machines and the Dremel was the best tool for use in so many circumstances. After about eight years of use the motor burnt out. I tried to get by with other tools but they just couldn't get the job done. Since I replaced my Dremel, I've used it many times and I feel great knowing that I once again have the right tool for the job.
I had a Dremel rotary toll when I was a teenager. My new 4000 is great. I received it as a Father's Day gift. It came at just the right time. I used it in the restoration of a U.S. WW 1 helmet. The ergonomics of the tool are very good. It is very comfortable to use.
