Perfect For My Needs
on March 12, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I reviewed a LOT of devices when I was in the market for a new laptop. Over the years I have strayed away from high end laptops with tech specs I simply don't need. Or want, actually. I had an S25 ultra, a Galaxy Watch Pro, and an S10+ tablet and realized that a Samsung laptop might be a good choice from a tech ecosystem standpoint. I was right and settled on, in my opinion, the best 2-in-1 device on the market, at least for my needs. From now on Galaxy Books will be my first choice.
But, I will add, Galaxy AI did not factor into my decision. I see it as useful in some regards, but the technology is still in its infancy at this time, and the way that it's being pushed on the consumer is troubling.

This is the best laptop I ever tried

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has great AI features and the flexibility is just a cherry on top. I love that the stylus works with my phone and my phone's stylus works with the Book. And windows paired with Samsung features is on another level. Gaming, app development, 36 tabs open on Opera Air and the device barely lags at all. Highly customizable which i love so paired with Windhawk you get your dream computer.

Good price, extremely inconsistent and glitchy.

Came out of the box extremely glitchy and inconsistent. Buttons are not working when pressed, very weird setup with Windows and Samsung. Samsung apps are very inconsistent on the device. Random settings activate when restarting the system, like the mouse cursor is huge and covering the screen, or different keystrokes pressed are not responding. Maybe it is a bad unit, but I am over having a new issue everyday. As I am typing this now, I am having issues with typing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Couple Issues

I do like this laptop. It's fast, stylish, and responsive. My two big issues with it: 1. Having two settings. Its a bit cumbersome to change Samsung setting and/or Windows setting separately. It would make more sense that Samsung settings live in the Windows OS app. 2. The function keys are not permanently locked. Having to turn the functions on/off is annoying when on Dell or HP, you simply turn the brightness up or down by hitting the key in the top section. With these laptops, I have to hit FN+F12 to then be able to simply adjust settings. Please fix Samsung!!

Galaxy Book5 Pro 360

The Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 has turned out to be exactly the kind of do‑everything laptop I was hoping for: thin, premium, incredibly versatile, and surprisingly powerful for how light it is. From the first time I picked it up, the combination of the sturdy metal build and the gorgeous 16‑inch 3K Dynamic AMOLED touchscreen made it feel more like a high‑end creative workstation than a typical everyday notebook.
Design and display
The design is slim, solid, and feels genuinely premium in daily use, with the 360‑degree hinge letting me flip between laptop, tent, and tablet modes without any wobble or flex. The 16‑inch 2880 x 1800 AMOLED display is easily my favorite part: colors look rich, blacks are inky, and the 120 Hz refresh rate makes scrolling, drawing, and even just moving windows feel incredibly smooth. The anti‑reflective coating is a real quality‑of‑life upgrade, because I can comfortably use it in bright rooms and near windows where other glossy laptops usually struggle.
Performance and Battery life
For everyday productivity, the Intel Core Ultra processor and Intel Arc graphics handle my workload without breaking a sweat, whether I’m juggling dozens of browser tabs, office apps, or light creative work. Multitasking feels snappy and responsive, and the laptop stays relatively quiet and cool even during heavier sessions, which makes it easy to use on the couch or in a coffee shop. Battery life has been a standout: this machine is built to go many hours away from an outlet, which matches independent testing that shows very long video and productivity runtimes on this model.
2‑in‑1 experience and S Pen
The 2‑in‑1 form factor feels thoughtfully implemented rather than gimmicky, and I actually use tablet mode more than I expected for reading, note‑taking, and media. The included S Pen is accurate and responsive, with good palm rejection, so handwriting, annotating PDFs, and quick sketches feel natural and smooth. Having pen support built in, without needing to buy anything extra, makes this laptop especially useful for students, professionals, and anyone who likes to think on a digital canvas.
Audio, connectivity, and everyday use
The quad‑speaker system with Dolby Atmos delivers clear, immersive sound that’s more than good enough for streaming, video calls, and casual media without reaching for headphones. I also appreciate the thoughtful port selection: dual Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB‑A, and a headphone jack give me the flexibility to plug into external monitors, storage, or peripherals without living in dongle world.[1] Features like the fingerprint reader for Windows Hello and modern Wi‑Fi 7 support round out the experience and make it feel like a truly next‑generation Windows machine.
Overall impression
Overall, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 feels like a carefully balanced blend of performance, battery life, and portability, wrapped in a sleek 2‑in‑1 design that genuinely adds value instead of just checking a box. If someone is looking for a premium Windows laptop that can comfortably handle productivity, content creation, and entertainment while also doubling as a large tablet with an excellent pen experience, this is exactly the kind of device I'd recommend.

Great Specs, Terrible battery. Performance is great but the batter is drained within two hours or so when using heavier software.
