I am very pleased with my new singer machine. I haven’t sewed on a new machine since the late 70’s when my mom got hers. Then in home Ed class at school had the very same machines. Yes I know I am showing my age. But point being…I am a SINGER sewing machine girl. I was really leery about getting a machine with a computer, but so far everything’s been fantastic.

It has 100 stitches from which to choose, you can make and embellish quilts, as well as sew fashions, home decor and much more. Programmable needle up/down is a must-have for quilting, sewing appliques and even top stitching. When you select a stitch, the optimum stitch length and width are selected for you, saving time. Customize stitches to personalize projects using adjustable stitch length and stitch width, viewable on the LCD screen. You can even set the maximum sewing speed of the machine using the speed control lever - slower for free-motion quilting or faster for those long seams - you're always in control. Sew buttonholes in one easy step with consistent results every time. You can even choose from 6 different styles of buttonholes - like the basic bartack style, round end and keyhole, great for menswear and outerwear. Take off the Removable Storage Compartment to access the free arm, which makes it even easier to sew around trouser hems and cuffs, children's clothing and other smaller projects. Dear Upset in Florida, standard accessories should be located inside the free-arm compartment, but you Bonus Acessories are generally in the 'arch' area of your machine. So sorry if they are missing. Initially, I loved this machine. It's quiet, has an even quilting stitch, and a long arm - ideal for quilting. Then, it leaked black oil all over my quilt, ruining two white pinwheel blocks. Definitely no need for so much oil on a sewing machine.
