[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not really happy with the machine without the attached table. The machine tends to 'tilt' backwards' with no support. It appears that this style is intended to be used inside a table. I mainly purchased this style from following Hometown Quilt Co Tic Toc. She uses this style for her students and herself. Should have done more research prior to my purchase.
My new Singer Patchwork machine is great. There are a couple of things that are a little tricky. The button you push for a backstitch is not real responsive and it slows me down. I like the presets for stitches, keeps everything solid. I recently saw the Singer Patchwork Plus machine. I kind of wish I had found it first when shopping for the Singer. This machine is going to be for quilting as I’m just now getting back into sewing again. I’m happy with my purchase! No problems found. If I keep up on changing needles and presser feet for different jobs the machine works very well!

Less functional than any other singer I’ve ever owned
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recently purchased this machine. I like the functions on it. I DO NOT like the pedal foot cord length. I actually have to put the foot pedal on a stool because the cord does not reach the floor from my sewing table.

Sews great, breaks easily

The machine sews great, I received this new as a Christmas gift. I’ve sewed two projects on it (a few coasters and a shirt) and the shank has broken and the input for the presser foot broke while unplugging it. I’m said that I haven’t even had it a month and it’s already in disrepair.
My wife wanted to begin some light quilting and patchwork projects. This is her first sewing machine so it is taking some effort to both get into sewing and learning the machine. No manual came with machine and the online version is still creating frustrations for her. In many cases, you have to find a support video that may span multiple machines OR look at some very limited content pictures to figure out the instructions on your own. All in all, it is a learning curve but can be managed as she gets more experience and use of the machine.
If you sign up for Singer emails, prepare for your inbox to be hit at least once a day! I really want them going to my wife's email but since it was a gift, they have my email. Ha ha.
