I've been a singer customer for fifty plus years! My husband was in our local fabric store to drag me out when the sales Lady talked him into buying the machine for me. Well it is an amazing machine. Easy to use. Lives up the brand standards for quality and durability. On my third quilt and am so impressed with the quilting and decorative stitches. Highly recommend this model for first time or advanced seamstresses.
So far I really like this machine. I thought it was messing up and then I realized that my bobbin thread had moved to the front and slipped out of its slot. Once I fixed that, it sewed very nicely. I am exited to see how well it quilts.
I thought I was going to love the machine. My boyfriend bought it for me as an early Christmas gift. I opened the machine, set it up and started to fill the bobbin. The machine ran for approximately ten seconds, then beeped loudly and the screen read "E2". I can't get it to do anything else.
I purchased this machine a year ago and have been a busy lady. I have made 2 quilts, 6 purses, several table runners and matching place mats. This machine is great to work with. I enjoy the different feet, the attached table and automatic threader.
I have had this machine for a little over a month and I LOVE IT! I had been using an Singer sewing machine, that had been handed down to me by my mother, that was 30+ years old. It worked great up until the end- (I may have it repaired just because it would be nice to have a second machine for when my daughter wants to sew) but I was ready to upgrade anyway. I loved that machine though and knew that I wanted a Singer again for my next machine. I quilt a lot and I use this machine almost everyday. I love all the different stitching patterns it can do and how easy it is to use. I am also teaching my 10 year old how to sew and she has had fun using the different stitch designs too. I was a little concerned when I took it out of the box because my last machine didn't do anything other than a straight and a zigzag stitch and this looked a little overwhelming. But after reading through the owners manual and practicing a few different things with it, I LOVE it. The manual is very easy to read and understand. I love how it gives ideas on what you can use each stitch for. - Happy Singer Customer
I like all the built in stitches but the machine itself is cheaply made. Having a lot of problems with the bobbin. Very tempermental. Constantly getting error messages some of which are even in the manual. Found it hard to change the needle. Doesn't seem to want to fit without applying pressure. If I had paid the $459.00 (original price) I would have been returning it. I bought it for quilting but there is not enough room to roll up a decent size quilt. The light is also horrible. have to use a separate light when I do want to use the machine. Overall very disappointed.
I haven't sewn in a number of years, with the exception of an occasional patch or quick seam stitching. I took up sewing clothes, etc., again a year ago, and then my old Singer Stylist machine gave up. I was hesitant to get a machine with electronic controls, but have found it quite easy to learn and use this new Singer.
