I am almost 79 and I just bought my Singer 7285Q to supplement the machine I purchased a year after college. I'm not a quilter, but the "Patchwork" incorporatse all the advancements I've been admiring over the years. I love, as well as thoroughly appreciate, the conveniences. And the range of adjustability in the specialty stitches makes it much easier to customize my projects.
I am still getting used to a new angle for lifting the presser foot and to having a backup stitch which behaves differently. But, I'm not too old to learn - or to have a great 21st Century Singer !
