I have 2 sisters who are experienced quilters. I have made my own clothes for years as well as for my children and scrubs for my husband. I have also done a bit of crafty sewing. But since I retired in March 2020 (pandemic retirement), I decided to join my already retired and quilting sisters and start my own quilt. They have been great in leading me in the right direction. However, one is a hand quilter, sewing everything by hand and the other uses several different sewing machines. My mother always has a singer and loved them, but boy oh boy have they changed over the years. I did my research and read a ton of reviews and made my decision on this machine. I absolutely love this baby. It starts on a dime and stops right where I want it. And so quiet, OMG. I've only had it for a month, but am looking forward to many, many years of creative and fun sewing days ahead.

I like the quick change feet and the option of being able to choose having the needle stop up or down and the 1/4 inch seam guide foot as I am new to quilting. I have been sewing garments and handbags, wallets, etc. for years. I bought this machine just for quilting. I could have purchased one with more options, but this is all I need for now.

I love this sewing machine!

My first sewing machine (I used it for 30+ years) finally stopped working, and they don't make parts for it any more, so I bought this one to replace it. The first thing I noticed is the weight, it's about half the weight of my old machine, which is wonderful! It's very similar to my old machine, so it was easy to learn, and it has so many more stitch options, I feel like Christmas has come a little early. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a printed manual, but the manual is readily available on-line, so I didn't take any stars off for that. I'm looking forward to starting my new sewing project!
