I don't see where people say this machine leaks or has issues! I have had it for two months now and it works wonderful. Has a lot of stitch types, runs smoothly and never snags. The threader is a bit if a pain so it's faster to thread the needle yourself but other than that..a GREAT MACHINE. Totally happy!!

Machine was purchased as a gift from husband so I could continue to so in a hotel room after a house fire. First the singer sales representative would not let me test the machine. I was told I could only tested after I purchased it and was taking a class by them. This should've been my red flag warning. Sales person provided little to no functional information after I fully explained I was looking particularly for a machine I could use to quilt with. I was told this machine was designed for quilting. It will piece your fabric together with a straight stitch. It will not however do quilting unless you are sewing a straight stitch. (SID) next the lighting is extremely poor. I currently am using a mag light laying on my work to see the stitching. The spoke apps do not work well they only tangle the thread. I have had three people trying to play and figure this out with no success and there are no directions in the book or online. The machine has a number of fancy stitches and buttonholes none of which are used for decorative free hand quilting. The Bobbins do not hold very much thread and need to be changed often. The machine came with a variety of feet but no instructions and no clear image do exactly what they thought the feet should do. It's difficult to decipher a number of them from the ill legible photos in the booklet that came with The machine. I have also found no help online in any form directly related to this machine. The machine is also made of plastic and does not seem very durable but it is lightweight should you want a straight stitch machine to take to a quilting class. Just be careful of banging it around or you will crack the outer case. I would not recommend this machine to anyone but if you simply need a straight stitch machine it would be okay. So why would I keep this machine if I do not like it. Because once purchased they would not take it back at full value only for a trade-in and they have no other machines that I would pick. So buyer beware you cannot test the machine before the purchase and after the purchase you cannot return it.
After 30 years using an old cabinet style Centennial machine, it finally gave out and I needed a new machine. I do basic sewing and some machine quilting. I looked at several machines and after talking with the sewing machine representative at JoAnn's decided on the Singer Patchwork. It was price very competitively and provide more options that several of the more expensive machines. I love it. Easy to use, light wait and does exactly what I need. Works as advertised.
I love this machine! It is easy to thread and operate with intuitive controls. It is also nice and quiet. I like that it has features that can be used for quilting. I would buy it again.
I like my new sewing machine even though I'm still getting to learn all about it and how to use some of the different buttons and designs. Going to the class helped a lot. The instructor gave us ladies a lot of understanding on how to use different keys on the machine,,,some little guidance's that helped a lot.Learning about my singer sewing machine gave me a lot of insight.
