I haven't sewn in a number of years, with the exception of an occasional patch or quick seam stitching. I took up sewing clothes, etc., again a year ago, and then my old Singer Stylist machine gave up. I was hesitant to get a machine with electronic controls, but have found it quite easy to learn and use this new Singer.
I love the ease of the threading the bobbin but only thong I don't like is when I got the foot feeder it clicks alot and was broken apart when I got it...but not sure if I can contact them to get a replacement. I have just been using it because I have to make masks...

I owned the machine for 5 weeks and sewed on it only a handful of times. Using a heavy duty needle, I sewed through four layers of jean fabric and the entire needle mechanism got stuck and twisted.
I recommend the Patchwork because with its variable speeds it is easy to use, has lots of stitch choices, and is quiet. The manual is well written and is illustrated. I enjoy sewing on my Patchwork.

Love my new sewing machine. Easy to thread bobbin and thread machine. Accessories are great so far!
General purpose and quilting. My last Singer was 30 years old and I needed an upgrade. Not sure about the auto threader, but I like where the tension knob is located, and the quick release for the feet.

4 stars because I wish it had a bigger throat for sewing larger quilts. Being labeled "patchwork" it would have been nice. Also, The automatic threader is a bit hard to use, so I just manually thread the machine, so only 4 stars. You have to get the needle in the right spot. I've had for 2 years and no leaking oil. I did Free Motion Quilting (2 layers of fabric and thin batting) with a throw and it was a bit hard with the throat, but still worked. I've sewn with cotton, knits and a light denim with this machine and it works good. I've used most of the decorative stitches for fun and they look nice. I'm not good with button holes, but they worked on this machine and still hold up. Love the speed control on top, up and down button, and drop in bobbin. I love the options for various fabrics, for example, several stretch stitches are on this machine. Love all the feet it came with, too. The extension table helps with even smaller items sometimes. Easy to change the stitch, just 2 buttons. I rarely change the length or width as the default works.
