Great machine but…

My husband bought this machine for me and it works amazing! My only issue is that the foot pedal never worked. I am ordering one to see if the one that came with it is defective or it’s the machine. It’s difficult to sew without the foot pedal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this sewing machine!

My first sewing machine (I used it for 30+ years) finally stopped working, and they don't make parts for it any more, so I bought this one to replace it. The first thing I noticed is the weight, it's about half the weight of my old machine, which is wonderful! It's very similar to my old machine, so it was easy to learn, and it has so many more stitch options, I feel like Christmas has come a little early. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a printed manual, but the manual is readily available on-line, so I didn't take any stars off for that. I'm looking forward to starting my new sewing project!

The Singer Patchwork model 7285Q sewing machine does not come with a DVD and along with many other home product manufactures around the world, Singer has joined the 'Green Initiative'. A Quick Start Guide is included with your machine to provide basic steps for getting started on your new Singer. A free download of the complete user's manual is available at the link below. I like the quick change feet and the option of being able to choose having the needle stop up or down and the 1/4 inch seam guide foot as I am new to quilting. I have been sewing garments and handbags, wallets, etc. for years. I bought this machine just for quilting. I could have purchased one with more options, but this is all I need for now.
