The machine is great but the book I received doesn't give a whole lot of instruction on how to use the various settings. Guess I need to go back to sewing school.
I've been a singer customer for fifty plus years! My husband was in our local fabric store to drag me out when the sales Lady talked him into buying the machine for me. Well it is an amazing machine. Easy to use. Lives up the brand standards for quality and durability. On my third quilt and am so impressed with the quilting and decorative stitches. Highly recommend this model for first time or advanced seamstresses.
I just love this machine! Beyond easy to use. Everything from winding a bobbin to threading a needle. Love the choice between foot peddle or machine control to sew.
Used to make repairs on clothing and facemasks! It's very easy to use and straightforward but also has the bells and whistles for more intensive projects! My current project being a quilt for my brand new nephew, it is making all that detail work super easy! Definitely would recommend for newer sewers who are looking to start small but up their project intensity as they learn! I also really like it for the noise level, I grew up with a 20+ year old Kenmore that ROARED when it was operating so this was a pleasant change! Pros: - clear instructions - easy to use, thread, wind bobbin, set stitches and change settings - comes with lots of accessories! - relatively quiet operation Con: - diagrams of feet in manual don't look like ones I actually got so it took some investigating - I wish the light on the machine had a slightly broader range like 2 inches wider would be perfect. I want to qualify that by saying that if you're not sitting in a darker room, it isn't a problem, but the light in my house is not great.

After ten years I picked up sewing again and bought this new machine. And I'm having sew much fun with it. It's quiet and smooth. I especially like not having to guess stitch lengthens when I switch to another pattern. I'm in heaven!
Thanks for the website that helps in competants like me.

Thanks for the website that's so professionally put together that an incompetant like me can follow the how-to. I thought when I purchased this machine that I could get lessons, however, lessons weren't offered for this machine. ??????
