I have never used a Serger. I am not tall but I am thin. It’s hard to get clothes that fit my body type. I have been tapering pants and shirts to fit me and it’s been a blast!

Save yourself a whole lot of hassle and frustration and don’t buy the singer serger. From day 1 I’ve had issues with this piece of garbage! I’ve had it going on 2 years and it has never worked properly! Finally had to dish out more money for a whole other brand and will never use a singer machine. Sewing or serger! They really don’t make good quality! Now I don’t trust them to make good quality products. HARD PASS ON SINGER!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very nice heavy duty Serger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been sewing for years on a regular sewing machine. I recently got the Singer Heavy duty Serger. I couldn't believe the time I saved using this machine, no more stringy edges and having to sew every edge, what a time saver. This machine is very heavy duty and can sew thick material. It has suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving while sewing. I would suggest downloading the manual and and watching some tutorials before diving in. Awesome addition to to have besides regular sewing machines.

The thread is either getting tangled, tearing, or not locking… The only plus to this is, it doesn’t take long for me to thread the machine b/c I’ve done so many times, despite ever using it for finalizing a garment.
