Defected for two purchases

The first impression I had is that it was too bulky. I thought that was ok if it does a good job but it did not. The first time I bought it it was defected the air fryer did not work because the lid did not close well and an error code was on the screen. I returned it and repurchase another of the same model. The second one was also defected there was a big dent on the outer surface and it made ticking noise when working. I returned the second one and will never buy this model again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing product

I am really impressed with the quality of this product. Having both functions, air fryer and pressure cooker in just one product not only is amazing but also saves space in the drawer! My only comment is that I misjudged the size: it is a huge pot! For my usage could be smaller, although this is no problem at all, I can cook for a whole football team! I recommend!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am always on the fence about purchasing new appliances. I borrowed a friends pressure cooker for a few months to determine if I liked these appliances enough to buy one for myself. After using it multiple times a week, I decided I was going to go for the brand name one (instant pot), which includes the air fryer. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for myself, and let me say, its FANTASTIC.
I am very picky with the things I keep on my counters and in my kitchen. This air fryer/instant pot gets a front row seat. I use it multiple times a week for pasta sauces (you can replicate an authentic bolognese with the pressure cooker, using only about 45 minutes of cook time!), soups, making homemade french fries (talk about cheaper than buying frozen!), chicken strips (my favourite fast food item I no longer buy because I can make them just as good at home), rice, chicken thighs, lentils, etc! This purchase has been so worth it.
The circulation of air from the lid is better than I expected. I was hesitant to believe it would be very good considering the air flow is coming directly from the top, however it is effective. I'd say its best to put the things that take longer to cook on the top layer, as they will be closer to the heating element and will cook faster. I will even put potatoes on the bottom and chicken on the top layer to cook a meal for one all at once.
The size of this instant pot is fantastic. I live alone, however cook family sized meals to have lots of leftovers for lunches and to freeze. The fact everything is dishwasher safe saves me such a headache from cleaning after meals.
The settings are easy to use and understand. I am happy to have the brand name instant pot now as most recipes you find online will only correspond to instant pot buttons and settings, meaning higher accuracy with cooking. The pot depressurizes quickly and on its own, meaning you can flip the switch and it'll depressurize while you do other things (which is better than other brands which require you to hold the depressurize button for 1-3 minutes).
Considering the size of the instant pot with the air fryer lid, I'd recommend having lots of storage or simply making space on your counter for it. I leave the air fryer lid on it all the time, meaning storing the pressure cooker lid doesn't take up much space.
Overall, I definitely recommend this appliance. Nothing is more satisfying than cooking an entire pasta dish, pasta and all, in one pot, and then layering cheese on top and switching to the air fryer lid to get a crisp, cheesy crust. One pot, no preheating of ovens, no transferring from pots to baking dishes, just delicious comfort food all in one appliance. No regrets with this purchase.

An amazing Product

It's like a fun, easy, and exciting experiment. You are not sure what is going to happen. But... Chicken in the air fryer had a crunchy coating and tender juicy meat. Pot Roast in the pressure cooker fell apart beautifully. Beef bone broth in the slow cooker was awesome. Tonight: Duck legs. Cooking time is cut in half. Just program and relax. Based on the reduced cooking time, I assume it is cheaper to run this product compared to our natural gas stove. Lots of recipes and advice on You Tube. We do wish the electrical chord was a little bit longer. Based on our experience we would highly recommend this product.
