This blower is extremely loud as it is charging. Very heavy. Not overly thrilled yet using it 😟

Hello Soccermom,
Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. The fan on the charger should shut down once it senses the internal battery thermometer is room temperature (so possibly not as soon as charging is complete – depends on battery temp). This is normal operation based on the protection system in the charger. All is operating as intended. Hope this information helps. Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see if we can find a solution.
Product arrived on time - the blower works, the charger works, but the included 5.0 Ah battery is defective. The blower and charger work quite well with my other 60V batteries, but the included battery won't charge or operate - both new and old chargers indicate a defective battery. No apparent damage to the packaging as shipped.

I love this blower and have ditched my messy gas blower. The force at high is awesome. Use it to blow dry my car when detailing it. Around the yard, garage, etc. it’s great. The problem I have been experiencing is the battery. It use to hold my charge between uses now when I leave battery in fully charged after a couple of days I go back to use it and the battery is completely dead. Thankfully I have a second battery I keep fully charged as back up when I need to use it. This should not be an issue for a blower that isn’t that old or heavily used. Disappointed.

Hello Yams
Thank you for your honest feedback! When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life.

I purchased this BP unit to replace an older, gas, and mediocre BP unit I bought at a big box store several years ago. The gas mix, plug, and small engine became an issue, so I'm already in the Greenworks ecosystem (chainsaw, snow blower, trimmer), so I figured to give this a try. The 824cfm is a great upgrade from my smaller 500cfm unit and it's so quiet - with the immediate on and off. The only thing I'd recommend for Greenworks to change is the Instruction booklet is a little too vague on putting the unit together out of the box.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Moved from a greenworks 40v blower to the 60v and boy what a difference!!! LOTs more air, plus lots more time with the 5ah battery i use for the mower. Mark me a well satisfied user.
HI I would not recomend this for most people who hope to move much snow without constant restarts. The restarts aside ( you learn just how much it will take and you go with it.) My big problem was with the angle adjustment on the discharge shoot. It uses a spring loaded clip to hold the discharge shoot at an angle you desire. First if I recall the instructions to assemble are non existant. But I got it lodged into place and it worked ok for what it did for a storm or two. Then the shoot end came off after putting it back on it would not stay in anything but the most vertical position. Shooting snow straight up is NOT what I was looking for. I improvised a solution(put two wood screws through the plastic to lhold it in place) but this design flaw might want to get looked into. So for a place Iike I live in (VERY NORTHRN MAINE) we do snow and well to paraphrase Im definitly going to need a bigger boat *)
Pros: Quiet, Environmentally Safe

I have had this for two seasons now. I am in new England so snow can be quite wet. With fluffy light snow this works like a charm, but with heavy wet stuff it turns into a real struggle. "Snow towers" that get stuck in the chute require quite a bit of jostling to get out before you can start using again. Recently I have had better luck with spraying the entire interior of chute as well as the impeller housing with blaster silicone lube. I was surprised at reduction in wet snow jamming the chute issue as a result. I am sharing this in case others have faced same issue. if you are in new England and have a medium to large driveway, don't go for single stage snow blower like this as it is quite inadequate for heavy snow storms piling up 1-2 feet of wet snow. Pushing this up even a slight inclined driveway is quite a workout and the only time it is still getting jammed with wet snow even after silicone lube application.
On the plus side, I like the battery system. I have three 60v 4ah. So far what I have found out by comparing with competitor's battery system is that green works batteries charge the fastest which is a really nice feature. I do feel however that other brands have invested more in better auger design and offered all metal augers as well as more sophisticated augers that Green works has completely neglected. When I bought this, the two stage was not available, and I really loved the 25 inch mower that I had bought with two batteries from green works, so took a chance with this machine which is decent for small jobs but not adequate for me.
I am also very surprised/ disappointed at how high the two stage has been priced. I hope it will not be the case by next season as this machine has only been released for the first time.

Thank you for your review Snowsight. We are sorry to read that you are not completely satisfied with this product. For best use in heavy or wet snow, you will want to move less at once and move a little quicker. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. Believe it or not, your chute can clog from simply not moving fast enough. As you move faster, the impeller pushes snow out with more force, hopefully throwing in further. It also helps to keep a tool nearby that can be used to poke the ice/snow down when it gets clogged. Never put a tool in while the unit is running and make sure the impeller has completely stopped moving first. If you find that you are still experiencing an issue, please Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. for further troubleshooting.
