bought two years ago. didn't need until today due to super mild winters. 5" of snow today, doesn't start at all. Essentially DOA. Seems to be a known issue with this machine according to reddit searches.

Amazing snow thrower! This is my first ever snow thrower/blower and it has made my life much easier. I bought this to go with the rest of my Greenworks ecosystem to also make things easier. My only complaint is that this tool is a little expensive for what you get. But, I'm very happy with this, Greenworks keep up the good work 👍
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Effective, Powerful
Absolutely worthless in the New England area once you get more than 6 inches of wet snow. The chute gets clogged so often that you would feel like using your shovel instead, after a while. And especially if you have a driveway w/ a little bit of an incline (which is what we have), then dont even bother looking into this product.

Hello Saikat,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear of the challenges you are having with the chute. Here are some operations tips to help you when the chute gets clogged.
•When using the unit in wet / heavy snowfalls, adjust the height of the snow stream by raising the chute deflector, allowing the maximum amount of wet snow to be discharged. • When you complete the work, let the machine operate for a while to prevent ice formation in the discharge chute. • If the snow is deeper than 8", decrease the speed and let the machine work at its own pace. • Do not use the scraper to remove compact snow and ice.
We hope this will help with the load acting against the chute and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. If you have additional or specific questions, we'd be happy to answer them simply contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6867 or start a live chat on www.greenworkstools.com.
Disappointing (for a Greenworks) product. Greenworks products are normally spot-on with all the details, and this is a pretty good snowblower! The good: Electric!!! Quiet! Chute-angle control from the handlebars.
Not so good: Control handle was missing on arrival. The glide feet are really grabby on the sidewalk making it difficult to push forward. All-plastic blades (instead of fiber reinforced rubber like all other single-stage blowers) are noisy against sidewalk, sand, or gravel. They also leave a small sheet of ice behind the blades that adds resistance to the blades, allowing them down and reducing how far the snow can be thrown. Lights are a good idea, but mounted up top just lights up the blower, not the sidewalk. In general, the blades aren't spinning as fast as they really should to keep the snow moving and the chute clear.
Suggestions: Offer a replacement blade system that's fiber reinforced rubber. Offer vinyl, hdpe, or Teflon feet that will glide on concrete and pavement Improve the blade speed somehow.
I'll tinker with mine since there's no point buying the better models now that I have this one
Pros: Environmentally Safe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great blower. Lots of power and convenience. No noise. Yay! The turbo button is great. The battery 4 Amp I had hoped to do the job for my front and backyard. The area is normal size but there are a lot of leaves to move.(700 CFM do a good job)
I bought one of these because I already had the 60v ZT riding mower & batteries. This blower works fine on dry snow only. Maybe the 80v model could handle damp or wet snow better, but this one bogs down quickly. ALSO, the blower has two battery slots, but they are not wired in parallel. So you can insert two, but one will be drawn down to zero before switching to the 2nd. This makes the 2nd useless. I keep a battery inside the house and periodically check the battery I'm running to make sure I swap it out for the other before it gets all the way discharged. (Discharging to zero decreases the useful life of a lithium battery just like any other type.) Greenworks should have wired the battery slots in parallel just like they did with the riding mower. Why wouldn't they? Makes no sense to me.
Pros: Quiet, Environmentally Safe

Hello PlainTom2
Thank you for taking the time to post your experience! Looks like the review posted was for a different Snow Thrower. Our dual battery port with auto-switchover extends your runtime and should automatilly switch over once the first battery is depleted.
When using any snow thrower there is a chance of clogging. Often, the reason for this is that the speed of the impeller causes, heavy, wet snow or slush to freeze. For best use in heavy snow types, you will want to move less at once. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. Users can also use a snow repellent spray to help as well as adjusting the height of the snow stream by raising the chute deflector, allowing the maximum amount of snow to be discharged.
We hope these suggestions help. Please know we are always here to help and can be reach directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.
I live in the Metro Denver CO area, bought this about 3 years ago and have used it 6-8 times. Issue #1. During the second year, the very flimsy cheap scraper blade broke. Good luck finding parts for this machine. The scraper blade is nowhere on the internet to be found. The part replacement part number in the manual is R0200650-00. Nothing comes up that looks like the one on this machine. Issue #2. The Impeller is also very flimsy and materials are not durable for the task they must perform. this is a pretty standard assembly and looks like it is available but the cost is over $50. Plan on spending this and replacing the impeller every 2-3 years depending on how much you use it. I've only used mine less than a 10 times the last two years. Issue #3. It stalls. I have a 4.0 AH battery and those are really expensive. Better get out before more than 4-6" of snow falls or your snow blower will constantly stall. Issue #4. The chute clogs easily. I have to carry a poker with me to clear the chute frequently.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet
