My neighbor approached me asking where I got this :)

February 2021 has been an absolute knife fight with winter in the Midwest. Although I have not owned nor operated a snow thrower prior to this, I hold this in high regard and believe it can compete with the best light-medium duty throwers. It removed 6 inch snowdrifts on a medium-long double driveway and back patio on a 4.0ah and 5.0ah battery combo. I had lent it to a neighbor with a similar length drive with 2 fully charged 4.0ah batteries (one of the batteries was 2 years old and stored in an under-insulated garage for an entire summer and this winter and was at 100% charge!). He used and was pleased. Without charging the 2 batteries I was able to do my driveway again the next day with the batteries stored in a 20F garage overnight :). Other perks: It starts right away, no worries about leaking or spewing fuel and oil, it's light and indeed appears to be able to throw at least 20-25 feet from what I can tell from my position at the rear of the unit. You can rotate the chute with a lever near the starter. That is awesome. I see my neighbor having to stop his gasoline-powered thrower and go to the chute and adjust it there, slowing him down and putting him at risk if he decided fully stopping the engine is too inconvenient for making a quick chute adjust.
What are the issues? Box came badly damaged and somehow BOTH quick-lock handle levers--the green plastic levers that allow you to fold the push handle for storage and deployment-- were broken. This did not affect the functionality of the motor or push capability and I was able to use the thrower right away. They shipped replacement levers which arrived within 5 days of my complaint. Happy with that. The other issue I have is although you can rotate the chute from the rear, in order to adjust the throw height you do have to do it at the chute. It is a squeeze ratchety thing that takes some work to depress properly for it to adjust. I am not sure if it is an issue with just my chute ratchet handle or a unit design flaw. Either way, it is annoying but not a dealbreaker. Anyway, if you are invested in the summer Greenworks tools and already have the batteries, this is an excellent winter tool and I am very satisfied and trust it to do the job, quickly, quietly, and it gets me further away from fossil fuel.

Excellent performance, questionable durability

The machine is fine at clearing dry and slightly wet snow. I have concerns, however, about the durability of the machine. I have a 6-car concrete driveway plus about 100 ft of sidewalk to clear. I was only able to use the snow blower 3 times before the front wear pads wore out. That means I'll probably have to replace the wear pads 2 or 3 times each season! The problem appears to be the surface of the driveway (concrete with brush marks) is not very slippery. The friction causes the scraper on the bottom of the snow blower to drag. Not only does it make the blower difficult to push, it also puts all the weight of the snow blower on the wear pads. I would expect better engineering out of a machine with such a high price tag.

I bought my 60 volt blower several years ago . I also have a gas blower . I have a 500 foot driveway and a large parking area to keep clean of leaves and grime. I use the green works and my wife uses the gas one . Things have changed , my wife no longer uses the gas one and has claimed the Greenworks Blower. Loves it for snow and anything else that need its use . I just ordered a larger new battery for it because she won't let loose of it as long as there is power left . It is a great tool and we love it or i wouldn't have invested in a much larger battery.

Has good power for a cordless unit. CFM is best I’ve used. Will give a more complete review when summer is here where it will be used daily.
Hope battery will last to do entire yard, deck, porches, driveway, and sidewalks on single charge. Otherwise, may have to buy another (more powerful) battery.

I've had it now for about 4 weeks and in that time we've had 3 additional snow falls. I also cleared a back patio that had heavy wet snow on it. Been impressed by how well it's done in all circumstances. The biggest plus is how light weight it is, I don't have a ton of garage space or a shed, but with the weight I can easily lift it up to a shelf. It also satisfies my goal with all yard equipment which is that my son can use it easily and help out.

This snow blower was the answer to our snow removal. My husband could no longer handle our older large heavy snow blower. This one is much lighter. No mess with gas and starts right up.
