We have a Greenworks lawn mower & trimmer that we have been very happy with so it seemed like an obvious choice for us to use Greenworks again when ordering our snow blower. It arrived within 3 days or so of when we ordered it which was great. A week or so later, we had two full days of snow so we were anxious to use it. We had the battery charged up & it started for my husband & ran for maybe 3 seconds before shutting off & then it would not turn on again. We tried all of the troubleshooting tips that we could find & nothing worked. I called Greenworks on the next business day to ask for help & they were not able to get it running either. They recommended that we send it to a local shop for warranty repair. That shop has had it for over two weeks while we've had snow almost everyday. We're very disappointed that a brand new machine had to get repaired immediately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Linds,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have encountered an issue with your snow blower. Some issues can be tricky to diagnose over the phone as issues can present in different ways. Based on the troubleshooting you completed with the representative, it seems they have concluded that it is a repair issue. The repair shop will do a diagnostic and determine what is wrong with it. We do apologize that the ideal option, we are sorry for any trouble this may cause, and we look forward to further assisting you with this matter.
I purchased this blower a couple of months ago and have used it daily. It replaced a gas unit and at first I was apprehensive about the power but once I used it the worries were over. I think it is more powerful than the old gas one and much easier to control. I am so pleased that I just placed an order for a Greenworks lawn mower and string trimmer with the same battery voltage. At some point I will probably get a chainsaw to complete my collection of lawn tools and then I will be all battery and no more gas.
Of all my Greenworks tools, this one might be the one I am least impressed with. It's decent, but doesn't quite reach the bar set by my chainsaw, leafblower, & weedwacker. My criticisms are as follows. If the snow is wet at all, this is next to useless. It clogs up every five feet. If you are pushing up even the slightest of grades, it does not push smoothly at all, kind of grinds on the pavement, and catches a lot. And I'm only 5'10", maybe the taller side of average. And this feels a bit too short. Almost toylike. That being said, there are several strong points that earned it an extra star. The power is exceptional. When the snow conditions are just right, this thing excels. We just had a HUGE snowfall in sub-zero temperatures, which resulted in 8-10 inches of frozen ice crystals. This thing plowed right through that without a flinch, and was pleasantly surprised at how much battery life I get out of that 6.0 Ah battery. I have a fairly long driveway that goes to the back of the property to the detached garage, a walkway to the front and rear steps, and I always do the sidewalk in both directions to the neighbor's driveway, and it finishes the job in one charge, even on the heaviest snowfall of this season. On the lighter collections, it's easily lasted for two runs of the above listed route. It is exceptionally quiet, and the headlights have proven to be much more useful than I thought they would be. Objectively, I kind of wish I spent the extra cash to get the bigger model, but this one is still fairly impressive for it's size.
How Is This So Powerful? Way, Way Better Than Expected

Honestly I was thinking this might just push the snow more than throw it. Oh no! This throws the snow. Far and fast! I can do a typical city driveway on just over half a 4 amp hour battery. If there is any downside to this is that the shoot can't be adjusted to a lower setting to not throw the snow as far (I apologized to my neighbor for plastering his house the first time I used this). My only real complaint are the handles are really short for a tall (6'5") person like me. But like I said, it works so fast that I don't really have time for my back to start hurting. Also I thought the lights might be a bit of a joke; nope! super useful for before-dawn driveway clearing. This is a legit snow blower! Go buy it.

Love this cordless blower. So much better than dragging the cord around. A couple of notes... The power is fine when using the TURBO, but without it...it's pretty lackluster. It would be great to have a little metal scraper edge at the end to help with items stuck to the ground when you're blowing (we have OLIVES).
