Easy to store, the battery life is good and it uses the same battery as my mower so I can swap batteries while charging. I am 74 years old, the unit is light enough that I can see myself using it for the next 10 years.

Battery doesn’t last long enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this with high hopes of replacing a 30 year old gas backpack blower that’s hard to start and maintain. On paper, the specs (both CFM and MPH) exceed the gas blower. However, in reality, the green works is only comparable (and moves leaves) when on turbo mode. Using turbo mode, the battery last 15 minutes. Unless you spend $$$$ for 3 additional batteries+ 2 additional chargers, this is never going to replace a gas blower. This blower is great if you want to clear off a patio, paved driveway, or deck. It’s not good for Fall leaf cleanup of a 1/4 acre or more yard. Really disappointed, there’s nothing “pro” about this. Also, charger has a fan which is pretty loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The charger fan is essential to maintain the battery's health by preventing excessive heat buildup during rapid charging. A noticeable fan noise is considered normal for most high-power battery chargers. They will shut down once it senses the internal battery thermometer is room temperature (so possibly not as soon as charging is complete depends on battery temperature). Blowers are high-power tools, so they can drain the battery faster than some other equipment. Runtime can also vary based on technique and usage. Using the variable speed trigger allows you to adjust airflow, power up for tough debris and dial back in delicate areas for better efficiency.
