I was looking for a powerful battery powered backpack blower to replace my old gas blower. I’m very happy with the performance of this product. It runs for 30+ minutes on high and the battery recharges in 45-50 minutes. It’s as powerful as my old gas blower and much quieter. No more gas/oil mixing, pull starting, and maintenance. Yay! Can’t wait to buy my next Greenworks tool.
I bought this to replace my backpack style 2 cycle blower (Greenworks won’t let name the brand). It’s quieter and environmentally friendly but that’s where it ends. Power wise, there’s no comparison. The gas blower is MUCH more powerful. I’m going to keep the Greenworks because it will be easier & safer cleaning off my house roof of pine needles but if it wasn’t for that, I’d send it back and get a refund.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the power that it gives. However, I can only blow for 5-10 minutes before the battery dies.

Hello there,
I am sorry to hear you were not happy with the overall runtime of this blower. This blower is equipped with a cruise control lever and a turbo button. Blowers are a high power draw application and they do deplete the battery quicker than other tools. This is not unexpected; it is simply an indication of just how much power is required to create that kind of speed at a high volume. One of the many benefits of the Greenworks 60V platform is the interchangeability of the batteries. If additional batteries are purchased in a combo pack (tool+battery) for another Greenworks 60V tool, you will have an extra battery that would provide you with the additional run time. If you wish to discuss your concerns about the run time you are getting with this blower, please feel welcome to contact our customer support center at info@greenworkstools.com we are happy to offer you some additional troubleshooting tips.
It’s powerful and works well, however the battery runs out within thirty minutes of use. It’s frustrating but I’d consider purchasing a second battery because I otherwise like the machine.

I wasn't sure this blower would match my trusty but old gas blower for moving air but this blower, Model 2420802VTBT, has much more power. I have 4ah batteries for my mower so I'm using those for the blower.
I just received it and blew off a deck and patio and inside my garage. I like the fact that you can move very little air if you want to. This is great in a garage when you want to keep the dust down.
The cruise control knob is a nice feature when you want to maintain the same force at all times and you can set it to any power level. The turbo button really powers up the fan speed but the button is in an awkward position making it difficult to use. Battery insertion and release is a snap with the spring release lever. It is a bit heavier than the gas blower by not by much. The included shoulder strap would alleviate any weight issues. The blower tube and included nozzles are sturdy and the nozzles lock onto the tube.
I can't comment on battery life and imagine it would vary greatly with how much trigger you use for any particular job. My biggest job is cleanup after mowing and edge trimming so I'm hoping one 4ah battery fully chaged will cover it all.
the first blower sounded like the motor was dragging. sounded horrible. had to ask for a replacement . after a couple emails and week later , have one that was better.. love using it to blow the leaves out of carport and blow the ones in yard into a pile.
