Very impressed with the power and how well it cuts. I was looking at other brands but their cost was prohibitive. The price of this unit along with the quality makes it a great buy. Would highly recommend this unit to anyone; and I am very particular about my tools.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Saves many hours of hard labor. Is heavy and shoulder strap restricts reach. Lasts a long time before it needs recharging.

Mostly positive, one negative

Used this 1st time for brush and medium fallen walnut branch:
Pros: handled light and medium brush, tough walnut w/ ease.
Good balance, on-off ease, safety features. Very handy.
Con: oil reservoir needs a simple redesign, specifically raising the lip so the closure plug does not intrude into the resrvoir itself. As is, you fill the reservoir , re-insert the plug and it overflows. Really annoying and messy and unnecessary.
Overall, I really like this unit, highly recommend.

Response from greenworkstools.comBy Greenworks, Greenworks Customer Support, October 25, 2021
Hello JM Johnston,

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble keeping the chain secure. Chains should always be tensioned before use. Be sure to check intermittently throughout each chore to make sure the chain is kept properly tensioned. A correctly tensioned chain should only pull away from the bar enough to fit a dime (10c) between the teeth and the bar. Do not tension a chain after you have finished using the tool. The hot metal expands; if the chain is tensioned when hot, then allowed to cool, the contracting metal could potentially damage the chain, the bar, and even the unit. Always wait until the next use (or at least until cooled) before tensioning.

We hope this information helps! If the issues persist, please give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 or submit an email at info@greenworkstools.com. We would be happy to look into other factors.
