I have only had this a short time. The hedge trimmer works excellent. Being able to use it with the pole and adjust the angle in either position up or down makes trimming tall bushes we have easy. The angle makes it easy to round the edges of the bushes to our liking. I have yet to try the pole saw. The quality seems to be great as the fitment, charger everything looks and feels great.
Money well spent!! Nice and convenient having two tools in one. Pole saw makes quick work out of high up cutting tasks. Same goes for the hedge trimmer attachment. Good power and battery performance. Pole saw depletes bar chain oil reservoir fairly fast while cutting so stock up. Pole sections attach securely together and are easy to disassemble.
Great tool. I love the ease of adding the extension. Chain is easy to put on and tighten. Pole is good and sturdy. Does a good job. A great addition to my 60 volt lawnmower and weed eater.
Chains come off and damage the rail slots no matter how carefully the saw is used. The first saw I received the chain would not even turn due to the rail guides for the chain being to tight, caused the chain to come off and stuck. It was also missing the oil cap, I used a piece of foil to hold the oil in. Second replacement Saw, the chain came off the first use. Took hours to get it re-installed, hours I can't get back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello jitney,
Sorry to hear that the unit isn't performing to your expectations. Chains stretch with use. When new, they stretch more. The tension on a new or newish chain should be checked and tightened every 20 minutes of cutting or so, it can get away from you fast. This is normal stretching. We would recommend reviewing the tensioning steps as outlined in your instruction manual. Ensure the quick chain tensioner is tight enough to keep the bar from moving. If you experience the same concerns we would recommend contacting Greenworks once more. We can troubleshoot the chain tensioner assembly, bar, and chain. Thanks again and we hope you get this worked out.
I had previously borrowed gas powered chainsaws to remove some trees destroyed by bark beetle on my property. They helped me cut down some of the trees but always seemed to take a long time to get through each tree. The Greenworks chainsaw is simply more powerful than the gas powered ones and has allowed me to cut down fifteen dead trees and provide firewood for my neighbors. It is easy to clean and adjust as well.
