Disappointed...overheated fast!

Bought this to use clearing out small trees and overgrowth. After 20 minutes of use, mainly cutting up larger branches, it overheated! Let set for 30 minutes now it doesn't run.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reliable and powerful saw

I bought this chainsaw to supplement a 14 inch Greenorks saw that I purchased three years ago. The new saw like my old one has been very reliable and makes quick work of yard maintenance of my rural property. This saw is well balanced and does a tremendous amount of work before the battery is depleted. My only suggestion is this saw should have a chain adjustment on the side like the 1 inch mode. I switched to Greenwoks electric saws after year of frustration ownership of hard to start Still and Homelight saws and have never regretted the switch. The Greenworks saws are a great value in my experience.

Great product, powerful, cut a 18" diameter tree in 8 seconds. batteries are interchangeable with other 60V tools like cordless blower and trimmer that I have

Great Chainsaw for the Homeowner

I fell quite a few trees for paper wood and lumber and have used many gas powered chainsaws in the past. I bought this Greenworks Chainsaw over two years ago to clear storm damage and felled over 12 20+ foot trees behind the fence. After the cleanup I put this chainsaw the shelf where it sat for over a year unused.
On a whim I felled a 40+ ft 15in diameter tree last weekend in my front yard in order to save my driveway from lifting. All I did was add chain oil and slapped in a battery and went to town. Try using a gas chainsaw after just a few months of no use.
I recommend this chainsaw for any homeowner that has trees or for after storm cleanup. It has a great solid feel and is well balanced for a long day of use. The power is quite surprising.

Meets all expectations

I bought this pole saw to cut down all the overgrowth on the hill in my backyard, and to help trim all the vines off the trees back there. It makes short work of it, and the added length prevents me from having to stabd on the hill side to do the work. Works great with the 60V 4Amp batteries that come with the Greenworks mowers, the weight of the 4Amp batteries counters the weight of the saw head well.

Just purchased this and used first time on young unwanted trees in back yard. Performed flawlessly and cut like buttah. Still have a full charge too! Extremely pleased!
