Perfect for me

I admit I'm not good with gas engines. I hate all the work to make them run. I lack the strength to pull the cord while holding the machine in the other hand and I'm afraid of the power they have to be honest. They are so strong and can hurt you so quickly. The battery chainsaw is a God send. I can now trim large branches that fall from the trees to make removing them easier. I can prune low hanging branches that interfere when I mow. I can make short work of trimming of larger limbs in the orchard. It's super easy to use and today I put a chain back on without help so I'm huffed! I am woman hear me roar!

Great chainsaw for cleanup. I am a male in my late fifties and live on two acres of land in Ohio. I have recommended Greenworks to both family and friends. Other reviews and price were a big factor in why I chose Geenworks. The quality and performance of this chainsaw has been outstanding. I taditionally only use a saw about once a month. Mainly because of the pain of needing fresh fuel and starting a gas chainsaw. It is so easy to just pop in a battery and go. I find myself not waiting for the jobs to pile up and take care of them sooner than later.

The oil was leaking within the tool everywhere when I put it together. The chain would not stay on the blade. Very disappointed

Sorry to hear that the unit is performing to your expectations. Chains stretch with use. When new, they stretch more. The tension on a new or newish chain should be checked and tightened every 20 minutes of cutting or so, it can get away from you fast. This is normal stretching. Tension techniques can be found in the owner's manual. Impressed with the cutting power and battery longevity. Love the idea of having the same battery for multiple products which also allows for longer ability to work. This is my second greenworks product and I am looking at more.

Great chainsaw

The saw arrived today, and I put it to work as soon as I got home. I have a Greenworks mower so I already have a 5 amp hour battery. I was cutting up some rather dense elm and ash logs ranging from around 5" up to 20" in diameter with it, and probably made around 20 cuts and still had 2 bars on the battery. It was hot out, and my back gave out before the saw ran the battery completely down. For what I need a chainsaw for this saw is perfect. No more gas fumes, noise, and pull starting for me.

Bought this to take care of small limbs on our property. Love that the only thing needed is chain oil. Pull the trigger and you're cutting. Works great.
