Ok, so this purchase was something I have long considered. Now that I got it, I don't think that I will EVER pick up my 14" or 18" gas powered chainsaws again... This thing has some serious power and is easy to use! Love it.

I have small engine tools... outboards, blowers, trimmers etc and have owned two chainsaws. Chainsaws suck because you have to constantly restart. They end up flooded or overheated and you end up waiting.
This 60v saw is powerful, fast and ready to go when uou squeeze the trigger. Makes dozens of cuts...i felled two 40ft spruce, limbed and cut then recharged the batt while i hauled.
Never going back to a gas saw...

So far I've only used to cut up several large silver maple limbs that I had removed using the 60v pole saw. Saw performed beautifully and cuts were effortless. The same battery ran the pole saw and chainsaw - battery still had some power when finished!

Chain doesn't last very long !

Very very disappointed with this chainsaw. I have gone through 3 chains and 2 chain bars. No match for Texas Oak trees apparently. The chains get damaged to the point of not fitting in the chain bar grooves. This last one I only got 30 minutes at the most out of it before it crapped out. And now I got a dead oak that is not down yet and is a danger to me and my dogs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
