I trimmed and cut trees for a living for over 40 years, so I am very well acquainted with a gas chainsaw. This worked as well as a gas version of comparable size. Much quieter and a lot easier to start.

I bought this chainsaw for a couple of reasons. First, I got tired of the maintenance for my gas saw and having to mix the duke for it when I really only need it once every couple of years or so. Second, I already own a blower and trimmer from Greenworks and have had great luck with them.
The saw worked better than I expected as I was using it to cut some hedge trees for firewood. The saw was able to do the task without any problems. As with anything that is battery powered, if you have a lot or work to do, make sure that you have extra batteries handy

Cuts through oak like butter. The battery lasts longer than I do and it recharges faster than me too. Customer service at Greenworks is great. (Be sure to check chain tension several times on first day of use.)
