As others have mentioned I looked at this chainsaw with some doubts. Electric 18" chainsaw, C'mon, how good could it be? Well let me tell you, it is a beast! Upon box opening and insuring I had a fully charged battery I started doing some "light" work by trimming lower branches off a few Cypress and Oak trees. Amazing to be able to climb up a couple of steps of a ladder and not having to worry about one of two things, either climbing with a running saw or trying to start a saw once in position. Simply pull in the safety and squeeze the trigger and BOOM, a running saw that has as much cutting power as my old gas saw. I comleted my trimming of 7 total trees and still had battery power left.
I am in love with this saw and donated my old gas saw to my son-in-law, good luck to him with that! I can't recommend this cordless Pro 60V chainsaw highly enough. Get it, you will love it!

No more pull starting

I bought the UltraPower Pro 60V and I was surprised with the power and speed it can cut. So far I have felled two large trees which was on my list for over year because I did not want to deal with gas chainsaw. My takeaway are; it's fast, power is instantaneous, one change lasted over three hours of cutting, no pull starting, no pollution and inhaling 2 stroke fumes and it's have the weight of my gas powered chainsaw

The saw seems to be quite well built. It has a lot more power than would have imagined!It is easy to handle with moderate weight. I had a 75 foot oak come down in a storm and this saw was very impressive,even cuts through 14 inch limbs. I have not made it to the butt yet but I think it will do the job.Sometimes I run out of power before the battery does.

I'll try not to blow smoke up your bum, but this thing is pretty freakin' awesome. I was worried about the power of a battery operated chainsaw as well as the longevity of the battery when out in the woods. Happy to say it cuts like a hot knife through butter. The 18 inch blade made quick work of 6-8" cuts and then handled a 12-14" cut quite handily. As for the battery lasting, the beauty of this thing is that it doesn't keep running like a typical gas saw; you press the trigger and the power is almost immediately on...and then immediately off - kind of a nice safety feature too. Which, again, helps with maintaining battery life. I'm definitely happy with the purchase. Best part, I can leave it in the utility room of my house without having to smell gas fumes, like I did with my old one.
If you're curious, give it a shot. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Happy cutting!
