Surprising chainsaw

I was pleasantly surprised with how well this saw cut. The blade was shorter than I am used to, but it cut through oak, cedar, fir, and pine smoothly and quickly. The largest diameter I cut was 21to24 inch diameter red cedar. I was also pleased with how quiet it was and ease of use. Excellent saw. I would recommend if you were going to be cutting all day to have 3 batteries so that one is always charged.
The battery only supplies 10 minutes of cutting time. With small branches, that might be anywhere from a half hour to an hour of cutting, broken up by periods of letting the saw rest. But on large logs, I can only get about three cuts done before the battery is too drained to continue. That's right. Three cuts. A saw this size, labeled 'Pro', is completely incompatible with such a short battery life. Do. Not. Buy. It.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This saw compares favorably with typical 40cc mixed fuel saws. Obviously, you avoid the hassle of mixing fuel, pull starting the saw, etc. Like with classic chainsaws, however, you must keep the reservoir full of bar oil to lubricate the chain.
The chainsaw is very easy to use and has plenty of power for light to moderate work. Cuts really fast. Just make sure you watch the chain tension closely to keep the slack out.
It's Greenworks and it's quality that works. Way easier to handle/use than a gas powered saw, and for my use, it's more than powerful enough. I own several Greenworks tools and they've all proven to be high quality, reliable, and more than sturdy enough to do the work.
Purchased this to replace my gas saws. For the handful of times a year I need a saw I didn't want the aggravation of dealing with gas. This is not a cheap tool! Well made and cuts as well as any saw as long as you let the saw do its job cutting. 14" diameter cuts are no problem. Buy with confidence!
