If anyone ever says that you have to have gasoline to have a "real" chainsaw, show 'em this bad boy! This high powered device is faster than the gasoline powered saw we used to use. We have Ironwood trees that are very hard and very heavy. It chopped the fallen logs like they were softwood. Plus the battery powered devices don't waste energy when they are sitting idle.
This pole saw is great. The blades are very sharp and easily cut through limbs. You will need several people to keep up with the limbs you are taking down.
My sister has the 40V chainsaw and has me change the chain! Why I do not know because it is so simple with the easy to use tensioner knob right next to the knob for locking the chain and chain guard in place.
My Son got me this 60v chainsaw for my birthday and at first I was skeptical that it would have the power I needed to do the jobs I have to get done. I am used to my gas powered saw but I gave it a try. My gas power saw works well for a while but needs frequent maintenance and is often hard to start. I have some arthritis in my shoulders and It makes starting a heavy chainsaw difficult. The first time I used the 60v Greenworks I was very pleased that No tugging was required. No gas mixtures were needed and It simply started with a pull of the trigger. It is light weight and easy on my shoulders and arms and I now use it 90% of the time. The power was more than I had expected and was more than plenty to get the job done. I Love this thing. Thank you Greenworks
I bought this saw last winter and was pleased at the power and how long the battery lasted. i was able to cut oak firewood 14 inches in diameter nearly as rapidly as with a 16" gas powered chainsaw. A weakness of this saw is how easily the chain jumps off the bar. This saw is not good for limbing or brush cutting.
Saw cuts as described and shown in various video reviews. Battery life is 20 minutes or less. Saw is useful only when owners has 2 batteries and then can cut less than an hour. With high price of second battery one should consider a gas powered saw
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello there, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with this Chainsaw. Chainsaw are measured by number of cuts not runtime. The 60V saw can cut up to 90 pieces of 4x4 wood per charge, when used with a 2.0Ah battery. The overall battery time is dependent on many factors such as diameters of the cuts, the species of the tree, temperature etc. If you are concerned with the number of cuts and wish to discuss your concerns in more detail, please feel welcome to contact us at 1-888-909-6757 or by email to info@greenworkstools.com. We will be happy to chat.
I purchased a 60 volt chainsaw and the chain tensioner failed. other then that the product has been great. I called and spoke with CSR237 who was very friendly and assisted me in getting a replacement. very good customer service. Would give 5 stars if it did not fail. But was remedied with the 4 year warrenty.
