I was not expecting an electric chain saw to be better than my gas saw. Well, this one is incredible. Living in Southern AZ we have trees with very hard wood. One is even named "Ironwood" and they mean it. I realize the chain on this is brand new but I took this out and cut through 4" ironwood branches like cutting butter. This will easily take care of all my tree pruning. I was really amazed at its ability to cut thick branches so quickly.
The pole is very long, about 7 feet from the blade to the trigger, over 8 feet total to the battery. With the battery on one end and the saw/motor on the other, it is well balanced although fairly heavy overall. That will probably be the limiting factor... I will wear out before the battery does.
I bought this 60Volt chainsaw 2 months ago, and it has done an amazing job, I had over 20 mid-size trees 30-40 ft high to clear and it is done in one battery charge.
I Love my Greenworks 60V Chainsaw. I can clean up all the down Maple limbs around the hose, it literally cuts through them like butter. The ease of it being battery powered and not gas is so eco friendly.
Purchased after my very positive experiance with the backpack blower. So far so good. Spent 45 minutes cutting pine and scrub oak limbs from 3" to (amazingly) a stump 15". Worked remarkably well. Don't force it, let the saw do the work and you will be happy. Still had 2 bars of batt left when I finished. Only negative so far is that a small bottle of bar oil should be included. Pick one up. You need it.
