Cut down and sectioned up about four 6-inch trees with ease on two charges. Just as powerful as a gas version. Also cut up large live oak from 12 - 22 inch to make bowl blanks. Took a few charges but did a good job. Never had the chain come off once. Did re-tighten once. After reading other reviews I decided to make sure everything was tightened from the start. Next purchase will be a higher amp hour battery.

Good saw, avoid 2.0 Ah battery

There are several 60V battery choices available for this saw. That wasn't clear when I ordered mine. The 2.0 Ah battery will not get much work done. I wish I had known that when I ordered, I definitely would have went for a bigger battery. The reviews that say it will cut for an hour+ must be using a larger battery. The 2.0Ah battery is only good for 15 minutes. The saw cuts as well as a gas engine without the hassles of gas engines. However, without a larger capacity battery it won't replace a gas saw. Otherwise I would have rated it higher.

The run-time of a battery would depend on the load on the unit (speed, type of wood and density). Essentially the 2ah is lighter weight for handheld tools but half the run time of the larger batter. The only issues you may experience using a heavier battery is the added weight to the unit which may not be as comfortable to handle as a smaller battery. So far I am very pleased with the build and performance of this saw. It is lighter and easier to use than all other gas saws I've ever used. The power from the 60v battery is surprising. I will update my review after an entire season of firewood cutting.
