The chain dulls quickly compared to replacements I have bought. Impossible to get a 5.0 battery which is really the minimum you will need to get any real use from this tool.

I liked the idea of going away from an IC chainsaw, as I did not historicaly use on on a regular basis... but when I do need one (tree falls, etc.) i NEED it to work. Unfortunately, with most gas saws, there is initial tune up and maintenance involved ... not with this one.
I had expected to make some concessions (power and usability vs convenience) but that was not the case. This saw is plenty powerful and very torquey even at low RPM's (which is typically a problem with gas saws.. they MUST be reved high to have power). I had some issues initially with the chain not staying tight, but GW was quick to remedy that with me. Very quiet, which is is great as well. Now we have moved to an area with lots of forest behind me so we use this on a regular basis and it has held up well.

My go to saw

I've cut fire wood and loved it. Today I cut down two large trees, cut them into pieces, then cut eleven 3-4" limbs off my neighbors pine tree, trimmed her maple tree and started on her holly bush before my 2 amp hour 60 volt battery ran out of juice. I have extra 60 volt batteries so I can cut all day. It's the real deal and I really like just squeezing the trigger to cut, no more pulling a rope trying to get a saw to run.

I bought this chainsaw to remove a few trees on my property and am extremely glad that I did! This chainsaw is very easy to use, responsive, easy to adjust, and smooth. I wore hearing protection anyway, but it is so quiet that my wife didn't know that I had fell'd and bucked 3 trees right outside the house! Plenty of power, sharp chain right out of the box, just a pleasure to use and made my life a whole lot easier than taking days and days to get the same amount of work done! Definitely buy!

Nice alternative to gas

Love having a chainsaw that does not idle. Much less noise, the bar oil seems to last longer and a charge lasts 15-20 minutes of constant use. Love it!
