Perfect Saw for Small Jobs

Just received the chainsaw, 2.5ah battery and charger. Love the saw but the 2.5ah battery really limits the amount of work you can get done. Would have preferred that a 4 or 5ah battery came with the saw to make it far more useful for a longer period of time. I know the higher ah battery would cost more but it would be worth the extra cost given how quickly the 2.5ah battery runs out of juice.

I owned an earlier model of this exact chainsaw (where the battery was perpendicular to the blade, so the overall chainsaw was wider). I bought this "new" version of the chainsaw because I put the previous model through its paces, and knew where the "failure" points were. I can confidently say that this new model addresses MOST of the issues I had.
The first issue was the cap on the bar and chain oil container. On the previous model, the opening of the container was prone to cracking/splitting, making it hard to screw the plug back in. This new model appears to have addressed that by reinforcing the chamber entrance; Putting the cap back in is smooth and easy.
The second issue was that the T Handle tool that comes with the chainsaw was easy to misplace, as there was no place on the actual chainsaw to store it. This new model solved that by adding a rubber attachment to the handle for you to store the T Handle tool, placing it out of the way but allowing you to keep it with the machine.
While I'm not sure if this was an issue (because I never had to test it on the old model), I can say that the chain brake lever on the new model is much stiffer and stronger. It makes me feel more confident that the brake WILL stop the blade if I'm ever in the unfortunate situation where the entire chainsaw gets kick back up towards me.
Unfortunately, there's one issue that doesn't appear to have been solved: The chainsaw will leak out any bar and chain oil in it, even when the tool is resting unused. While being a waste of oil, I'm more upset about it making a mess, and have taken to laying the tool down sideways (blade side up) on a paper towel to reduce the mess.
I also wish that there was a way to hang this chainsaw up on the wall (via a loop on the back handle) for easier storage. But even if there was one, I might not use it knowing that the tool consistently leaks out bar and chain oil (unless I want to drain the tool completely after I'm done using it).
Overall, this is a great electric chainsaw that does its job well, and is compatible with my other 60v Greenworks Tools. The newer model addresses most of the issues I had with the older 60v 16" Chainsaw model, but there are still issues I wish had been addressed. I'm satisfied when I'm using it, even if I have quibbles when its not in use.

This chainsaw surpassed all of my expectations. My neighbors tree fell down in a recent tropical storm that plowed through New England. I was able to cut down a 7 inch limb and cut up all the additional limbs branching off of that into 3 foot sections. With the nice new chain this went through the wood so easily and there wasn’t a single problem. I had a four amp hour battery in it, when I was done it was still at four LED strength. All of my green works tools are amazing.

Pro-60 brushless chainsaw can handle the work!

It’s light weight yet plenty powerful to get the work done. The Pro-60 has torque needed to zip through larger logs, even my aged, rock-hard black walnut logs.

Great for incompetents

This is my first chainsaw. I'm not comfortable with power tools and never trusted myself to buy a chainsaw. I bought this after reading many positive reviews. I couldn't be happier, as it's powerful, easy to use, and I feel safe with it. I've used it so far to cut down and cut up some saplings, maybe up to 3 or 4" - not a hint of a problem. This has saved me so much time and sweat from doing this work with hand saws, I wish I'd discovered this earlier.

I bought this a month ago. Used it on a 8” tree. I’m very pleased with its power and ability to handle the green wood. I also have the 60v lawnmower which I absolutely love. And the batteries are interchangeable.
