Disappointed...overheated fast!

Bought this to use clearing out small trees and overgrowth. After 20 minutes of use, mainly cutting up larger branches, it overheated! Let set for 30 minutes now it doesn't run.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good saw

I bought this saw last winter and was pleased at the power and how long the battery lasted. i was able to cut oak firewood 14 inches in diameter nearly as rapidly as with a 16" gas powered chainsaw. A weakness of this saw is how easily the chain jumps off the bar. This saw is not good for limbing or brush cutting.

Ok, this saw is awesome. You can feel the power just hitting the power button... cut thru limbs so fast now I need to find something else to cut up. And all without the noise.

Bought this saw to clean up a tree that fell during a storm. It was about 30 ft tall and maybe 12” in diameter at its base. This saw went through it all like butter. The best part, I charged the battery, filled up the bar and chain oil, popped in the battery and pushed the button. That’s it....so easy. This saw also has plenty of power. I’ve used my father in-law’s gas powered Homelite saws in the past and this thing was just as powerful if not more so. Now I can’t speak for longevity since I’ve only used it on this one project, but so far very pleased.

Cut down and sectioned up about four 6-inch trees with ease on two charges. Just as powerful as a gas version. Also cut up large live oak from 12 - 22 inch to make bowl blanks. Took a few charges but did a good job. Never had the chain come off once. Did re-tighten once. After reading other reviews I decided to make sure everything was tightened from the start. Next purchase will be a higher amp hour battery.

I have owned several high-end gas chainsaws and trimmers throughout the years. I was always impressed with the power. But overtime they would all breakdown, usually involving the small engine. I decided to make the switch to Greenworks. I thought I would be giving up power when giving up gas. Boy was I wrong! My last purchase was a chainsaw to trim and cut down trees. I was really skeptical, but again, Greenworks knocked it out of the park! I easily went through 10-12” logs. My neighbors kept commenting on how quiet, but efficient the chainsaw was. A few even jumped in to help me with the work.
Let me tell you something, a product is good when even your neighbors are willing to do your work for you as long as they get to use your tools!
