Great saw, great value. Capable for maintenance, not a commercial tool, although someone who knew how to use a saw could probably get years out of it. There is a YT video of the saw disassembled, well made.

Just purchased this and used first time on young unwanted trees in back yard. Performed flawlessly and cut like buttah. Still have a full charge too! Extremely pleased!

Much better than expected

Honestly, I didn’t expect much from this. I was willing to gamble because I’m sick of keeping 2 stroke gas around. Used it to clear some trees in the back yard and cut some fire wood. It is quieter than a gas powered saw but it still makes some noise. Feels powerful, I had no issues at all through my first 3 or 4 uses.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Smooth and quiet

Tried this vs. my Husky. Very pleased and surprised it performed so well. Took down most of the main tree after having pole saw trimmed. Had to take it piece by piece due to homes in suburbia and hanging over neighbors fence as well as mine. The saw was excellent in every area. I used my mower battery which is the 60 v newer version. Took out the tree, cut all down to manageable pieces, and did most of the clean up on one charge, one battery. Finished with my older version battery, no problems at all.

[Almost] Perfect chainsaw

This review is for a slightly modified version of this saw. I swapped the 18" bar and chain to this saw from day 1, and put it into hard use immediately.
This chainsaw does everything you could want one to do, and does it exceptionally well. The 60V size is perfect, easy to handle, and the fact that you can do the same work as a 40cc gasoline saw but without having to worry with starting, maintenance, etc., is a miracle. After 25 years of using other chainsaws, this is finally the best one I've ever used.
The only thing that keeps it from being absolutely perfect is the limitation of not using it in the rain. Likewise, lack of water resistance makes cleaning it somewhat more challenging.

Impressed with the cutting power and battery longevity. Love the idea of having the same battery for multiple products which also allows for longer ability to work. This is my second greenworks product and I am looking at more.

Fantastic chainsaw! Could use a higher Ah, but that's on me to get a larger capacity battery. Still the 2.5 Ah battery lasts for a decent amount of cutting and this thing rips through the trees.
