This saw has much more power than I was expecting. Still have a gas saw but wanted to try a Greenworks saw and am very pleased with its performance and love the convenience of dropping the battery in as opposed to the oil/gas mixing on the other. Would highly recommend
Saw cut nicely. Almost as noisy as a gas chain saw- I had to wear ear protection. Also saw was a bit too heavy with a 4 AH battery. Had about 20 minutes cutting time with 4 AH battery. Only had saw for a couple of weeks and one real cutting session. Hope it holds up. Way more convenient than a gas chain saw but not quite as powerful as equivalent 16" gas chain saw as it did " bog down " from time-to-time.
Bought this chainsaw for clearing overgrown brush and trees ...we had 2 other gas chainsaws during this 3 day clearing and everyone preferred to use the greenworks chainsaw.. the saw cut very well and battery worked for almost 5 hrs of on and off cutting..
We've a heavily wooded 10 acre property with a 1/3 mile driveway. We're parking back the driveway 75-100' on both sides. Most of my chainsaw activity is done on my knees on 2" to 6" trees. Being able to so easily just pick up & start this cordless chainsaw is a dream. Just the energy and time factor considered in using this (our first cordless tool) chainsaw versus a gas powered is remarkable. It's a powerful & useful tool in so many ways.
Great chainsaw, purchased for some light tree trimming, ended up using to remove major hurricane damage from Sally. Cut through large limbs and branches with ease. Batter life on 2.5A lasted for about an hour or so of heavy usage on some sizable limbs.
Was fed up with 2 cycle engines and decided to trash my two gas operated chainsaws and go with the 60V cordless chainsaw by Greenworks. Couldn't have made a better choice. First use was to get rid of an unwanted tree next to the shed. I quickly realized this tool would do anything my 35cc saws would do, but without the hazards and mess that come with gasoline (and the 2 cycle mix). That was not the only plus. I could set this saw down for a minute, pick it up and immediately start cutting again. No starting and stopping the gas engine or letting it sit and idle or stall out. The charge lasted longer than expected and the battery recharges quickly. Gives you time to have a beverage and maybe clear a little debris. I like the way the battery gives the tool full power until it's ready for recharging, no slowing down or loss of power as the battery drains. As the title says, this saw is perfect for my needs on my couple of acres to keep things tidy and dice up some firewood. Without worrying if my saw will start when I need it! I will be replacing all of my outdoor power tools with 60V Greenworks items in the future.
