No more mixing gas for me. Has great power. Comes with a 2.0 battery. I owe a 4.0 together I can cut up anything on property I will face.

Perfect for the job

Last week I ordered this chainsaw after we were devastated by a very severe storm. It arrived yesterday and I helped my neighbor with his downed trees. This saw was half as loud as his gas powered chain saw and more powerful. It cut the downed trees into firewood for another neighbor almost twice as fast as my neighbors traditional gas powered saw. The best part it was basically the same price as my neighbors unit that it out performed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Saw

I have fell, limbed, and, bucked over 7 trees (Ash, Maple, and Popular) with this saw. I love not having to breath is two stroke fumes and get shaken up by a running engine. I use this saw with both a 4.0 ah and 2.0 ah battery and just love how it cuts. Very good saw for cutting firewood and felling small to medium size trees.

I bought this chainsaw yesterday and used it this morning to cut a few 14" hardwood tree trunks. I was surprised at how quickly the battery charged and very pleased with how powerful this saw is. Cut right through without hesitation. I like the chain brake feature too.

the chainsaw leaked the bar oil out of the cap. i emailed greenworks about it, waiting to hear back, after i send them the info they required. only used it 2x, seemed to work good. other than getting oil coated, which is dangerous for using a chainsaw. i will se what greenworks does to help me out.

Bought this tool because I was tired of fighting with gas chain saw that was finicky to start. If I had know how this tool performed, I would have not wasted money on the gas burner. I haven't had the tool long enough to fully rate the durability - thus the "4" rating.

Good saw, avoid 2.0 Ah battery

There are several 60V battery choices available for this saw. That wasn't clear when I ordered mine. The 2.0 Ah battery will not get much work done. I wish I had known that when I ordered, I definitely would have went for a bigger battery. The reviews that say it will cut for an hour+ must be using a larger battery. The 2.0Ah battery is only good for 15 minutes. The saw cuts as well as a gas engine without the hassles of gas engines. However, without a larger capacity battery it won't replace a gas saw. Otherwise I would have rated it higher.

The run-time of a battery would depend on the load on the unit (speed, type of wood and density). Essentially the 2ah is lighter weight for handheld tools but half the run time of the larger batter. The only issues you may experience using a heavier battery is the added weight to the unit which may not be as comfortable to handle as a smaller battery.
