Amazing what a difference battery powered makes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No combustion engine, no long power cord to deal with. Just a simple, well balanced, portable and powerful chainsaw. It does require lube oil, which does not come with the chainsaw, so make sure you have some! The battery is simple to insert and remove as well as simple to charge. There isn't much more to it, and that is what is so great. We have lots of large old trees in our yard and occasional heavy winds and storms. These storms bring down size-able limbs that have always been a hassle to deal with. I have tried breaking them by hand and foot, manually sawing them, paying a lawn crew to take care of it, and borrowing a neighbor's chainsaw. I haven't wanted to deal with the hassle of having a gasoline or corded electric version, and I don't have quite enough call for using it to pull the trigger on getting one of those. When I saw this one, I had to try it. I am glad I did. It was easy, clean, and fast to walk around to the backyard, set up the branch and slice it into chunks I could put at the street. Now, I am the neighbor that can help others when they have limbs down, and we don't have to go searching for outdoor outlets, worry about having gas on hand, or put an inevitably messy gasoline chainsaw in my car. This is a great and convenient power tool. I look forward to switching to more battery powered big tools as the technology continues to advance.

Nice little chainsaw but the blade went dull very fast. It would be perfect addition if not for that.
I also got the weedeater, and it is fantastic. Battery on both last a long time.

Well balanced and works great for normal yard work. Battery lasts longer than I thought. Don't miss the hassle my gas saws.

Nice tool, not sure about battery life

I’ve been pretty happy with the tool since I got it a couple months ago and was impressed at its ability to efficiently get through logs and the safety features. The last couple uses I feel the battery has died really quick (2-3 cuts in of a bigger log). Not sure if it just can’t handle the bigger stuff on battery life. Still a good tool for smaller logs.

I had bad experiences with both gas saws & lower quality electric saws. I hate the maintenance, smell, and reliability of gas tools, hoping they start at the start of the season, having and keeping track of regular and blended gas cans, etc... I borrowed my MIL's Ryobi electric chainsaw, but it was just 18V, the chain was dull, and it was clearly a brush motor model that was wearing out. After entirely too much research, I chose this one. Holy wow, this thing REALLY kicks some serious branch. One charge, took down three 8' knurly knotty bushes, & two trees about 8" thick, chopped them all down to size, and had a couple bars of charge left. And it did it quick. It outperformed my "best" gas saw, and it's about half the weight. I also got the 60V leaf blower, which is equally impressive. I'm planning on replacing everything with the 60V models, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, mower, snow blower, and ditching all the incompatible chargers, multiple gas cans, & extension cords, that go along with the hodgepodge of tools that require them, and let Greenworks put the fun back into property maintenance!

I bought this a month ago to deal with some sizable dead tree branches after I could not get my 2 gas chainsaws to start and remain running. I was very impressed by the power packed in the 60V battery.

I purchased a 60 volt chainsaw and the chain tensioner failed. other then that the product has been great. I called and spoke with CSR237 who was very friendly and assisted me in getting a replacement. very good customer service. Would give 5 stars if it did not fail. But was remedied with the 4 year warrenty.
