[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Greenworks Pro 16' cordless chainsaw for about a month, and I have to say, I will never go back to a gas powered saw. First, it is so easy to start, no more yanking on a cord. Second, it is so much quieter than a gas powered saw, I don't need hearing protection when using this saw. Third, no more nasty gasoline fumes! The battery charged quickly, and holds a charge well. It is a "smart" charger, so there are no worries about overcharging. I have used it to clear small to medium trees and brush, and it works like a charm! This senior citizen highly recommends investing in this chainsaw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using this for a month now. I was a little worried that it would be heavier than a gas powered saw as the battery would have to be pretty large have enough power to cut into large branches. It was no heavier than a gas powered saw and it was balanced nicely. It has more than enough power to cut through the 6" branches that I originally needed to prune down off of our tree.
I also have been throwing it into the trailer when we take off on a road trip and it is a handy tool to have around when you are away from the city and need the convenience of a chainsaw without the mess of mixing gas or carrying a long extension cord. The ease of using this when away from home sold me on this product.
I have never used this for more than an hour so I don't have any stats on how long the battery lasts. It has not died on me in any of the times I have pulled it out to use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The idea of a battery operated chainsaw seemed too good to be true, but I was pleasantly surprised! I wanted to try this, not only for the ease of no gas hassle, but it is also fairly lightweight and easier for a woman to handle. It is a great tool for tree trimming. Getting an extra battery helps keep the project going. (The battery charges in 30 mins!). Also, follow the recommendation to drain the oil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No combustion engine, no long power cord to deal with. Just a simple, well balanced, portable and powerful chainsaw. It does require lube oil, which does not come with the chainsaw, so make sure you have some! The battery is simple to insert and remove as well as simple to charge. There isn't much more to it, and that is what is so great. We have lots of large old trees in our yard and occasional heavy winds and storms. These storms bring down size-able limbs that have always been a hassle to deal with. I have tried breaking them by hand and foot, manually sawing them, paying a lawn crew to take care of it, and borrowing a neighbor's chainsaw. I haven't wanted to deal with the hassle of having a gasoline or corded electric version, and I don't have quite enough call for using it to pull the trigger on getting one of those. When I saw this one, I had to try it. I am glad I did. It was easy, clean, and fast to walk around to the backyard, set up the branch and slice it into chunks I could put at the street. Now, I am the neighbor that can help others when they have limbs down, and we don't have to go searching for outdoor outlets, worry about having gas on hand, or put an inevitably messy gasoline chainsaw in my car. This is a great and convenient power tool. I look forward to switching to more battery powered big tools as the technology continues to advance.

Nice little chainsaw but the blade went dull very fast. It would be perfect addition if not for that. I also got the weedeater, and it is fantastic. Battery on both last a long time.

Well balanced and works great for normal yard work. Battery lasts longer than I thought. Don't miss the hassle my gas saws.

I’ve been pretty happy with the tool since I got it a couple months ago and was impressed at its ability to efficiently get through logs and the safety features. The last couple uses I feel the battery has died really quick (2-3 cuts in of a bigger log). Not sure if it just can’t handle the bigger stuff on battery life. Still a good tool for smaller logs.
