Will not charge and it VERY hot to the touch

Had this for two months, it started off great, but as I go to charge it so that I can make use of it, I realized the charger LED light wasn’t blinking to show it’s charging, so I put another battery in its place to check if it was the charger, but it would charge the other battery. I tried on the other charger but still wouldn’t blink the LED lights. I left it to the side while I did yard work, and when I come back to do another checkup, I picked it up and was very hot to the touch. I wonder if internally something is wrong, but it’s a shame that only two months worth of usage and the battery is dead, otherwise I would give a better rating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best bang for the buck!

Based on my analysis the 60v 4ah battery is the best deal for the price in terms of $$/ah. In addition the 4ah battery provides long lasting run times for my blower, chain saw and hedge trimmer. I wish Greenworks would make choosing a more powerful battery options when buying tools. The standard 2 or 2.5ah batteries that come with the tools I purchased do not last long enough to complete anything but the smallest job.

Batteries seem to hold a charge for about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour of work. Recharge time is about 1/2 hour to 40 minutes. With three batteries and 1 charger, I can manage to get about 2 to 2-1/2 hours worth of work done in a session. The next size up in batteries, or a couple of extra batteries and a second or third charger would pretty much give me all day capability, but for my purposes, 2-1/2 hours is plenty of run time.
