[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pretty psyched to get this shovel, however, after about 1/2hr, I knew that it would be sitting in the garage. Maybe its good for light snowfalls on perfectly smooth and flat surfaces (sidewalks or small paved driveways) but for anything other than that, it sucks. Stairs? Nope.. too heavy and awkward, and there is no direction fins to direct the snow. Pathways? Nope. Try pushing it over any uneven surface (lawn or gravel) and after a few minutes of jerking and pushing, you will give up. I have a greenworks mower, leaf blower, and weed-wacker, and they are all awesome. This thing will sit beside the greenworks hedge trimmer that weighs a ton and is useless. I'm still a fan of greenworks, just not all of their products.
Pros: Quiet

Hello TJ McD.
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback regarding the Greenworks 40V 12" Snow Shovel (Tool Only). We are sorry to hear this unit did not meet your expectations. This model is engineered primarily for light, freshly fallen snow on smooth, hard surfaces such as paved sidewalks and driveways. Performance can be significantly affected by uneven terrain, gravel, lawns, or elevation changes such as stairs, as you’ve described. The open-front auger design is optimized for forward clearing rather than directional chute control, which can limit versatility in tighter or irregular spaces. We appreciate you clearly outlining the specific use cases where it fell short for you. That type of real-world application feedback is extremely valuable. At the same time, we truly appreciate your continued support of Greenworks across other products. It is encouraging to hear that your mower, leaf blower, and string trimmer have delivered the performance you expect. Not every tool is the right fit for every environment, and matching equipment to surface type and snowfall conditions is critical with compact snow removal units. If you ever have specific questions or concerns about our products, contact Greenworks via Live chat on our website (www.greenworkstools.com), call us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or refer to the FAQ ask section of the tool or ask us a question, anytime.
Thank you again for your candid and balanced review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had over 5 feet of snow this year. We had to hire kids from next door to help with the shoveling. When we got yet ANOTHER storm at the end of February I bought this SHOVEL-ER. IT WORKS! Easy to assemble and easy to use. Battery and charge included! We did the path to the bird feeders, cleared the deck and cleared the front walk is LESS than 30 minutes and no stopping to worry about a heart attack! (Hubby and I are OLD). Normally this would take 1.5 hour+ and many heart thumping worries. It's a little heavy but that means we get a very nice, safe workout. BUY IT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for our small snow events and it worked great without having to bring out the big snow blower. Worked especially well on back deck and sidewalk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Snow shovel works very well and at times throws the snow too far. Good battery life with quick charging
