Perfect for quick and easy snow removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had a chance to use this snow shovel several times so far this season and it has worked wonderfully. It’s simple to charge the battery and the battery lasts for quite awhile. It’s easy to take the battery out as well. The shovel throws the snow out of the way without me having to bend and scoop and it saves me a lot of struggle that I used to have with a regular shovel. I now have the energy to help my neighbors without ending up sore. This shovel works great for walkways and stairs as well as smaller driveways too!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only works on light fluffy snow. Lacks the power to clear heavy wet snow or ice. A simple leaf or twig jams the blade. It's heavy to carry which makes it difficult to use.

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate to read that you are not overly satisfied with this product. When using any snow thrower on wet snow, there is a chance of clogging. Often, the reason for this is that the speed of the impeller causes wet snow/slush to freeze. For best use in heavy snow types, you will want to move less at once. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. Keeps stopping

The 40V battery came with this product is not interchangeable with other Greenworks 40V products. It keeps stopping while shoveling. Don't waste your money/

All Greenworks 40V GMAX machines are compatible and interchangeable with all GreenWorks 40V GMAX batteries and charger. In regards this snow shovel or any other 40V product that does explicitly indicate GMAX on our website, they would also be compatible and interchangeable with all GreenWorks 40V GMAX products. If the brand is not GreenWorks it will not be compatible. Please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 for further assistance.

Pretty impressed with the quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t going into this with high hopes. How could a battery powered snow shovel really be powerful enough, well I was wrong. Being in Michigan puts up enough challenges with the snow. This was great for the recent downfall we just got, I was able to use it on my own easily which was very helpful being pregnant. It holds the charge well and is great for the small job without breaking your back. I wouldn’t use for more than 5-6 inches though. Highly recommend

This little shovel was quite the surprise. We just got 13 inches of snow dropped on us in Northern Mass. So I took my new shovel out snapped in a fresh battery and cleared out my front walkway,stairs,deck and 2 parking spots before I had to put the 2nd battery in. Very good on deep fluffy snow.

This is heavier than I expected and to glide it across the deck and sidewalk it got quiet heavy. Also blows snow all over so had to go back and re-do some of what I had just finished. I wanted to love this but can only give a 3 out of 5.

We are sorry to read that you were not completely satisfied with this unit. We suggest noting, the wind directions, if possible; and move in the same direction as the wind so that the snow is not pushed towards the wind. Directing the snow in front or to either side by pushing the snow shovel forward so that it rides on the scraper. Adjusting the handle can provide a better balance between the battery and the base having weight equally distribute. To adjust the balance of the unit, loosen the screws to move the auxiliary handle up and down the shaft till you are comfortable.

It’s slightly heavier than stated but still very manageable, I’ve had surgery on my arm/shoulder and still worked well with the weight. If you can get an additional battery as backup, the run time worked for me (about 25mjns) but had to wait to help my elderly neighbor. It throws far enough that I don’t feel like I’m doing double the work but since it only throws forward, it worked for me to keep an angle to avoid it being in my path.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an apartment and I have to clean off my balcony and around my car every time it snows. I am a middle-aged woman and the shoveling is a bit hard for me so I thought this was the perfect solution. It is super easy to use does a great job clearing the area. I was pleasantly surprised and how quiet it is. However it is a bit too heavy for me to use on a regular basis.
