Fantastic and actually fun to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate shoveling. This makes it fun. I have a 20 x 60 foot driveway. It clears it effortlessly. 3 plus inches. Also cleared the very heavy snow 8-12 inches of snow from the plow with NO problem!! Throws the snow at least 20 feet. Absolutely love this thing. Already bought the edger even though it’s still winter. Plan to buy the leaf blower too.

Poor design, no directional vanes, heavy

Received this as a gift. Tried using it with 3 inch snow cover on driveway. Only throws snow in one direction - straight ahead. No directional vanes on this thing, so very limited functionality especially over distances more than about 6-8 feet. This is bottom dweller in most ratings. I used twice and got the big snow pusher blade out and got the job done. BTW, the battery will not release from the handle. Had a friend whose much stronger than I and he couldn't get it out. Piece of junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The 40V 12" Cordless Snow Shovel is designed to throw snow straight ahead and does not include directional vanes. While this design works well for lighter snow and shorter distances, we understand it may feel limiting depending on driveway layout and snow conditions. Regarding the battery not being released, this is certainly not expected behavior. In many cases, ensuring the battery release button is fully depressed while pulling the battery straight out can resolve the issue, but if the battery remains stuck, we recommend contacting Greenworks Customer Success so we can assist further or arrange a resolution. Easy and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Large driveway (1650 sqft) and long walkway, usually takes me an hour and a half to clear 6” of snow by hand. This tool is easy to use and cut my work down to 30 minutes. Battery is exactly enough to handle the work, so I bought a second for quick change out during heavy storms. Already recommended to friends and family, I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once you get the hang of this it really does speed up the shoveling process exponentially. It does have some weight to it, however, so it could benefit by having some wheels on it. Meanwhile, having flaps on it to help point where the snow blows would help, too, but like I said if you find a process you can compensate for that.

I decided to spend a little more money to buy this power shovel because of the great reviews and warranty coverage. This shovel performs great and is backed by a quality company!
