I need to return this kit for a refund. It took forever to receive that package after ordering it. After receiving it I tried to charge the batteries and discovered that one was unable to be charged. I notified that manufacture and after nearly 2 weeks I received a replacement battery only to discover that it too is flawed and cannot be charged. I cannot endure the problems associated with trying to talk to a real person nearly 1 1/2 hour on hold the last time. Please send me the methodology in how to return and get a refund. My lawn looks like wheat field now.

After using mower twice with batteries fully charged. The mower quits after 15 mins and batteries have to be recharged then does the same thing again. When reading reviews prior to my purchase some had stated battery time lasted about 45mins which was great for me since my lawn is small. I have always owned a gas mower but thought a battery operated would be better for me in the long run to handle. But on a positive note it is easy to start with just a push of a button so can't complain in that area. Glad there is a 3 year warranty so hopefully can get problem resolved without a hassle.

I really like this mower and inly have a few complaints that mostly have are due to the size of my yard. I wish the batteries would last longer but I also love that there is no need for gas or oil making running it very easy. Also no pull cord is a plus.
Last year I purchased a Greenworks trimmer, of which I was pleased with the operation. The batteries charged quickly and the Trimmer did the job. This is why I chose Greenworks for my electric mower. I read where the batteries were interchangeable with other Greenworks machines and thought that this would be perfect when mowing my lawn since I already had two Greenworks batteries. I found out that the batteries were not interchangeable. The mower uses two 24 volt batteries and the trimmer uses one 60 volt battery. It takes significantly longer for those 24 volt batteries to recharge. My grandson mowed the lawn and it looked like it had barely been touched. Even taking into account that he had the height at the highest level, the lawn was uneven throughout. I am truly upset with this purchase.

Hello Grannie Anne,
Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry to hear you are feeling slightly let down the tool battery cross compatibility. For every brand, the battery pack is designed specifically only for its products. These cordless tools have their very own technology and features and by that, each of these features requires a certain amount of voltage to deliver the optimized performance. We will take your comments and pass them along to our product design team for future consideration. In the meantime, please feel welcome to contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com with any further questions or concerns.
Good machine but batteries last less than 30 minutes.

For the most part this is a nice machine, it's quiet and mows well. The only drawback in my experience is that with both batteries fully charged i only got about 25 minutes run time which was just short of enough time to finish my yard. I expected to be able to mow my entire lawn with battery left to use the string trimmer.

Hello Tim Logan,
Thank you for your feedback. While the battery is capable of running up to 45 minutes as advertised, this is in ideal conditions. It's important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! It goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains. Here are a few mowing tips. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

We had purchased this lawnmower for an area of our yard that we did not want to use the riding lawnmower on. Due to us working on the area, the grass had grown very high (maybe 10” or more). This lawn mower had no problem handling that grass that tall.

GW mower is great! Easy to assemble & operate. Cut is smooth & powerful with plenty of battery life. Also like that mower is easy to store vertically. Good bye forever to the extension cord (and its hassle) from my previous electric mower.
