Green power

This is a powerful tool with batteries that will last through the job. Batteries recharge quickly, within 2 hours I've found. It's heavier than electric trimmers, but that's not a big deal.

I purchased this to use with my Greenworks 48V mower and so that I can swap batteries between them as needed. The trimmer has been working well so far without any issues (same for the mower, too).

First off, this trimmer has a lot of power. The two batteries that give it that power do make it a little heavy but it is well balanced so it doesn't seem to bad. Works great, haven't had any problems. Would recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shudder to say how many trimmers I've been through over the years, gas ane battery, heavy duty and string. My new Greenworks has the sweetest balance of ease and efficiency, more powerful than I expected from its slim profile. It's second only to my mower as my favorite Greenworks tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned 2 of the 13" corded trimmers and I had always liked those. Recently wanted to try cordless, and I have the 24v line up of drill/driver/grinder/jigsaw, so the batteries would be put to good use. Some reviews stated the batteries didn't last more than 20min.s on a single charge so I bought a 48v chainsaw basically for the extra 2 batteries. This has a 2 speed gear box (like the drills), and a variable speed trigger, so when you find the sweet spot of when it'll cut what you need down you can fairly easily run it at that lower speed till you hit a larger patch and need the extra speed. Feathering it like described in gearbox speed 1 it'll trim my whole property and the back field edge on a single charge of 1 set. (takes about 1hr) .105 line fit vs the .095 included and I'm sure the 2nd gear and 2nd set of batteries will be handy for thicker brush.

48 volt string trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used the 48 volt string trimmer with the double 4 amp-hour batteries. Amazing power. I have the blade that trims the thread set at 16 inches (although it’s adjustable to 15 inches as well by flipping it around). Good trigger, easily adjustable speed based on trigger effort. Battery lasted over 1 hour, maybe 75 minutes total of continuous use with light trigger use. The bump and feed system worked great. It seems the spool of thread will last a long time, since I only used a few inches of thread throughout that entire trimming. I have an 150 ft lot by 60 ft only, but I have a lot of edges and a lake in the back that I edge as well. The batteries ran out of charge at the same time, 0 / 3 bars on each battery. Excellent power the entire time all the way until the very end. There’s no loss of power.

Good trimmer, though missing a piece in the box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this item on sale as I have been increasing my Greenworks tool collection. The item comes as you see in the picture on the website, but the item box shows an extra bar on the auxillary handle. This handle did not come, so the auxillary handle sort of is held by the twist screw, with nothing on the other side. This could be a possible safety hazard, as there was no bolt included for the other side, and even if there was, it does not line up without that bar. The item assembly was easy enough other than that, just a couple screws and put it together. The item performs as expected for a trimmer.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Effective
