This phone is great for someone who wants a PHONE with texting capabilities. The QWERTY keyboard works great and the bluetooth works quite fine as well. The camera is a nice addition too.
A really nice phone except for one major flaw. The LCD screen is very weak. My wife had her phone a total of 4 days before the screen broke. Amazingly, the outer screen looks flawless. Holding this phone you cannot see a flaw. No scratches, gashes, dents, nothing, but the LCD cracked.
My wife has carried her phone in her front pocket for years, but this phone lasted 4 days. If you press on the LCD lightly, you can see the LCD distort. It takes very little pressure. I really believe Samsung needs to beef up the outer screen to protect the delicate LCD.
I am sincerely disappointed in this phone. Unfortunately, I bought 2. After this phone broke so easily, I instantly called my carrier and added the extra insurance to cover this type of damage for the other phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Texts faster with good contour and faster connection speeds faster than the first.
I absolutely love the design. Text is made so easy with the Qwerty keypad and it has all the features I will need. Now to the things that could be better. The best phone I ever had was a very simple Samsung flip phone that would never break. I dropped it in a lake, i dropped it off the roof of a house onto a sidewalk and it still worked great after 2 years of abuse. The Samsung Intensity II however feels very fragile. It was two weeks before I could get a screen protector and I already had small scratches on the screen. The screen also becomes distorted with a minimal amount of pressure. The back part of the case also pops off occasional in my pocket. The battery life is also not as great as I would like. My last Samsung would stay charged for over 4 days. The Intensity II will only last about 2. However the most annoying issue I have is buttons being pressed in my pocket. I have a tendency to fidget with the phone in my pocket and if I slide the keyboard open a little bit the buttons become unlocked automatically. If you don't have this habit it shouldn't be a problem. Another issue is the ease of putting music on the phone. I would prefer to just put mp3 formats onto my microSD card and go. The Intensity II doesn't like that idea. I had to convert them to a special format and even then they wouldn't work as a ring tone. I do not use Rhapsody and dislike having to go out of my way to put music on the phone. All in all it is a decent phone and I will make it work for the next year but after playing around with a few other new phones, I wish I had went a different route.

I got this phone after I lost my LG Chocolate at an amusement park. I had that phone for a little over 3 years. Even though it still worked like new I was excited about a new phone. The Intensity II was the only phone in the store that had a keyboard without a data package fee so that's what I got.
From the get go this phone was disappointing. It locked up daily. Last night it went to a black screen with "USB memory mode" on it. Today it would not turn on at all. I took it to Verizon and they would not take it back. They said it had gotten wet.
I know people who have dropped phones in water and have been able to dry them out. At no point was my phone dropped into any liquid!
I have researched online and found many similar stories. I will never by another Samsung product again and would advise anyone else against it as well.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the best messaging phone ever! I love the vibrant color of the phone and the brightness of the phone display. I also love the easy to use keyboard and the easy access to all my favorite social networks.
This is the worse phone i have ever had. In the past two years this phone has broken three times and by the manufacturers fault. The first time the phone broke, the phone would turn itself off when opening the qwerty keyboard and eventually was unable to use from the phone suddenly turning itself off byitself with no indication. The second phone was broken were the screen on the phone frtized out and turned its self off and then eventually the screen was unable to use since it would either black out or 'white out'. Finally the problem with my third samsung phone is that the keys are unable to register with the sensor, creating the issue of beng unable to use my phone.I certainly DO NOT suggest anyone to purchase this phone!
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, too many manufacturing problems
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This phone is one of the best so far. It is also affordable! I used to have an iPhone (pretty good) and the Gusto (worst phone ever) but the Intensity II is better. Get this phone!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, better than gusto, better than iphone
